Princess Cruises announces invite-only 360 Experience aboard Discovery Princess

Princess Cruises will debut a new feature called the 360 Experience aboard its new ship Discovery Princess, with plans to retrofit it aboard Enchanted Princess as well.

The invitation-only experience will be a fully immersive destination lecture that transports guests to the Mediterranean and takes them on a six sense journey through the hilltops of Santorini, Amalfi Coast, Barcelona, and Provence.

The 360 Experience will involve story-telling, cuisine, imagery, music, and even scents, introducing guests to local ingredients, artisans, and culinary methods, followed by a seven-course gourmet dinner, paired with wines from every destination.

“360 is a fusion of master storytelling, world-class cuisine, visual entertainment and ground-breaking technology that manifests in what can only be described as an Extraordinary Experience,” said John Padgett, President, Princess Cruises.

“360 is a remarkable adventure that immerses our guests into the compelling cultures and flavors of the Mediterranean in a 90-minute celebration of the senses,” he added.

The venue will accommodate 20 guests surrounded by LED walls that use 4K cinematography to place guests into the Mediterranean destinations, while the videos shown will be narrated by actress and model Brooke Shields.

The Mediterranean is the first destination to be featured in the 360 Experience, but it has been designed to be configured and adapted.

It can be personalised using the OCEAN platform, which powers the exclusive MedallionClass on Princes Cruises ships.

The experience is currently available only for guests who booked suite accommodations aboard the Discovery Princess and the Enchanted Princess.

Guests can also gain invitations by participating in the online VIP casino gaming and retail event sailings.

Discovery Princess is currently homeporting in Los Angeles until April, when she will reposition to Seattle for the Alaskan summer cruise season.

Discovery Princess is the latest ship in Princess Cruises’ Royal-class. She entered service in March 2022, while her sister ship Enchanted Princess was introduced in September 2020.

The class leader Royal Princess debuted back in 2013, and was followed by Regal Princess, Majestic Princess and Sky Princess. P&O’s Britannia cruise ship is of the same class and was until 2020 the largest cruise ship ever built for the British market.
