The upcoming Arvia, the new Excel-class ship in the P&O Cruises fleet, will feature 30 dining and bar venues, several of which will be new-to-the-line experiences.
In addition to the new dining and bar venues, P&O Cruises has also worked with chefs Shivi Ramoutar and José Pizarro to create destination-inspired dishes, according to a press release.
The chefs will coordinate the ship’s local food experiences in the Caribbean and Mediterranean, where she will be spending her inaugural cruise seasons.

Three of the dining experiences have been created exclusively for Arvia, these include Green & Co feat. Mizuhana and 6th Street Diner, as well as The Beach House.
The Beach House will celebrate Ramoutar’s passion for Caribbean cuisine, and is expected to be one the ship’s highlights.
Guests at The Glass House (which first debuted aboard sister ship Iona) will be able to sample Pizarro’s tapas, which will be paired with wines chosen by British TV presenter and award winning wine expert Olly Smith.

The same experience will be offered at Cellar Door, another new venue aboard Arvia.
Green & Co feat. Mizuhana is a new restaurant exclusive to Arvia that will serve fish and plant-based dishes. Guests will be able to dine at the sushi bar while watching the expert chefs at work, or they will be seated at tables with views of the sea.
The Amber Lounge, Infinity Bar, and Anderson’s Bar, Vistas Cafe Bar, Ripples, Taste 360, and contemporary flavors of The Olive Grove, The Keel and Cow, and Sindhu will all be available onboard the Arvia.
Additionally, travelers can also combine entertainment with dining at The Limelight Club or the 710 Club.
These are just some of the ways in which Arvia will be different to her sister ship Iona. Like Iona, she will also carry more than 5,200-passengers across 2,614 cabins, and will also offer the instantly popular 970-sqm SkyDome with a pool and stage featuring aerial performances, movies on SeaScreen and theatre productions.
When it comes to entertainment, Arvia will feature an Ocean Studios Cinema, as well as aerial shows in the Grand Atrium, and big production shows at Headliners Theatre.
The Club House will be Arvia’s late-night party venue, while a 1,300sqm retail area will offer a number of shopping options, and a huge spa will provide rest and relaxation.

The Oasis Spa and Health Club will feature two couples’ suites, each with a hammam and steam room, a therapeutic cool room, a restorative salt sauna and an invigorating Kneipp Walk, which combines a pebble foot massage with hot and cold water treatments to stimulate circulation and boost vitality.
Arvia will debut in December, 2022, with her first passenger voyage scheduled for December 9th, 2022, a 14-night cruise around the Canary Islands, where she will spend the winter.
On April 2nd, 2023, she’ll sail the first of a series of voyages around the Mediterranean for the summer.
