Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Eclipse has resumed service following a drydock at Damen Shipyard in Brest, France, with additional guest cabins and a number of onboard upgrades.
The refurbishment included the conversion of several public areas into guest accommodations, resulting in the creation of ten new inside staterooms. These were added across Decks 6, 9, 12 and 15, replacing the ship’s former internet café, Apple-affiliated tech store, card room and video arcade.
Technical maintenance was also carried out during the three-week drydock, alongside soft refurbishments throughout the ship. Upgrades included new carpets, furniture and upholstery in both staterooms and public areas.

Enhancements were also made to Celebrity Eclipse’s Retreat area – the brand’s suite-class enclave. A new Retreat Lounge has been added on Deck 5, while an exclusive Retreat Solarium was introduced on Deck 16, expanding the dedicated space available to suite guests.
The 2010-built ship returned to service on April 27th, 2025, following a transatlantic crossing in March and yard time in early May. The vessel is now sailing a summer programme in Northern Europe, operating from Amsterdam with itineraries that include the British Isles, Iceland, Scandinavia, and the Baltic.
After its Northern Europe season, Celebrity Eclipse will reposition to the Mediterranean for a short autumn deployment. In early November, it will return to North America for the winter.
Operating out of Fort Lauderdale for the 2025/26 season, the 2,850-guest ship is scheduled to offer a mix of four- to eight-night cruises to destinations across the Bahamas and Caribbean, including Nassau, Bimini, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, St. Maarten, and San Juan.
Celebrity Eclipse offers a wide range of dining, leisure and entertainment options. Guests have access to six restaurants, including the Moonlight Sonata dining room, Oceanview buffet, and specialty venues such as Qsine, Murano, Blu and Tuscan Grille.
The ship features 14 bars and cafés, among them the Martini Bar, Cellar Masters wine bar, Gastro Bar, and Café al Bacio and Gelateria. Health and wellness facilities include three pools, six whirlpools, a gym, aerobics area, SpaClub, and a Solarium pool.
Sports amenities include a basketball court, jogging track and lawn bowls area. Entertainment venues range from the Eclipse Theater and Sky Lounge to Fortunes Casino, Quasar nightclub, and dedicated spaces for children and teens.
