Middle East-bound Blue World Ocean Voyages opens cruise ship residences for sale

Blue World Ocean Voyages, which is planning to launch services from the Middle East in 2023, has opened its cruise ship residences for sale.

Those interested in purchasing one of the one- or two-bedroom residences on the cruise line’s first ship, can now register to do so.

The cruise line will be launching with one vessel initially, but has plans to grow the fleet to three ships within five years.

The cruise line says its ships will carry a mixed set of resident guests and traditional cruise passengers, and will spend its first six months cruising in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Abu Dhabi and Dubai before repositioning to Europe.

The luxury residences, designed by international designers, Tomas Tillberg Design and Poggi Design Firm, come fully furnished and move-in ready on the first ship.

Apartments on the first ship:

Two-Bedroom Split-Level Residences
1,200 SQ FT / 111.5 SQM
Priced from US$3,520,000

One-Bedroom Residences
850 SQ FT / 79 SQM
Priced from US$2,470,000

The cruise line says owners will have exclusive access to an in-galley chef’s table, private wine storage, plus dedicated butler and concierge services.

Each owner purchases residency rights for 25 years for personal use, or for use by friends or family, business or charity purposes.

There will be 40 residences on-board for private purchase

When not in use, owners can place their residences into Blue World’s rental inventory, using this revenue to offset maintenance fees, the company said.

There are also two so-called Founders Residences available for sale.

“Today’s sophisticated travellers are looking to own a home at sea as well as on land,” says Fredy Dellis, Blue World co-founder and acting CEO. “By offering a limited number of Residences on our first vessel, Blue World provides an option for active, athletic, and health-focused travellers to own their own private and casually luxurious sea-going space, travelling the world with like-minded individuals.”

The first ship is due to be launched next year, and Blue World says it will offer a different experience to that found aboard most cruise ships.

The cruise line says sports and wellness will be embedded in the design of the ship, the onboard programs, dining options, shore-side programs, even the itineraries.

Rather than the bells and whistles associated with most modern cruise ships, Blue World Ocean Voyages will instead offer mini golf courses, a first-in-the-industry sea water lap pool and marina deck, plus an impressive array of professional-style water sports equipment.

The ship will also offer what the cruise line claims will be the largest athletic and fitness conditioning facility at sea.
