Highlights of the 2023 European cruise program for Azamara include 315 late nights in cities like Mykonos, where guests can partake in the bustling night life and party scene; or Lisbon, Portugal, to enjoy a sunset cruise on the Tejo River or indulge in an assortment of tapas and wine in the city’s Bairro Alto neighborhood for dinner.

Azamara will also offer more than 75 overnights in popular European destinations, including Barcelona, Bordeaux and Monte Carlo.

The 35 country-intensive itineraries will focus on Spain, Croatia, Italy, Norway, Scotland and others, as well as a “Black Sea Intensive” itinerary, focusing on the history and wonders of ancient cities in Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine.

Seven European ports are new to the cruise line:

Alta, Norway

Brest, France

Cesme, Turkey

Fredericia, Denmark

Gothenburg, Sweden

Heimaey, Iceland

Mariehamn, Finland

“The 2023 deployment marks a milestone for our brand and its unique offerings in Europe,” said Carol Cabezas, President, Azamara.

“When sailing with Azamara, we are often the only ship in port, and with 75 overnights we are giving guests the chance to follow in the footsteps of locals with fewer crowds while immersing in the culture, history, and authentic flavors of the destination,” he added.

In addition to the release of Europe 2023 itineraries, Azamara said that it has also opened the remaining 2022 voyages of the newest member of its fleet, the Azamara Onward.

Azamara Onward will spend 2022 cruising roundtrip from a range of Mediterranean ports, including Piraeus (Athens), Civitavecchia (Rome) and Venice, as well as island-intensive itineraries from Gran Canaria.

The announcement comes as Azamara prepares to resume cruises for the first time since the pandemic, with Azamara Quest due to operate five back-to-back seven-night Greece sailings from Athens, starting on August 28th.

Ports of call include Santorini, Rhodes and Heraklion, Greece. All three will be late night ports stays, the line said.
