Dubai-bound Costa Firenze features 13 stores showcasing Italian style

Costa Firenze, the new Vista-class cruise ship from Costa Cruises, will feature 13 different stores in her expansive retail area when she arrives in the Middle East to begin her inaugural cruise season from Dubai.

The 135,000-gross ton cruise ship will showcase Italian style in her Galleria shopping promenade during her Arabian Gulf cruise season out of Dubai from November, 2021 to 2022.

The ship will feature 13 stores offering a range of items, from fine jewelry and apparel to handbags, trip souvenirs and travel essentials

Costa Firenze’s retail area has been designed by Starboard Cruise Services, and is intended to celebrate Florence with distinct Italian designers, ship-exclusive collections and memorable shopping experiences.

The 13 stores offer a range of items, from fine jewelry and apparel to handbags, trip souvenirs and travel essentials.

“Appealing to Costa’s incredibly diverse guests, our teams have created an authentic Italian-style shopping experience amplifying our partner’s vision to bring the warm Italian hospitality to sea,” said Lisa Bauer, President & CEO, Starboard Cruise Services.

“Costa Firenze represents a further step of our long-term partnership with Costa Cruises. It really has been a pleasure working closely together to capture the spirit of the Italian brand and creating personalized onboard retail experiences for its unique guest profiles,” she added.

Costa Firenze’s Galleria offers rotating Italian-themed collections, with merchandise refreshed twice on each voyage – featuring Florentine keepsakes such as pottery, magnets, miniatures, keyrings and more.

The shops also offer a Retail Concierge service, enabling stateroom shopping, private retail appointments and concierge-led store outings.

Guests can own a piece of Italian culture by shopping Florentine designer handbags, such as Ferragamo, while other Italian brands include the fashion jewelry brands, Ciclamini and Myto, and Save My Bag, a collection of colorfully designed chic totes, clutches, crossbodies and bucket bags.

New to European guests, luxury vintage brand, What Goes Around Comes Around, offers Costa Firenze’s guests the opportunity to choose from a selection of designer handbags from Louis Vuitton.

“Costa Firenze is the perfect ambassador of Italian style, which we have combined with a series of product innovations designed especially for families and couples,” said Giuseppe Carino, Vice President, Guest Experience and Onboard Sales, Costa Cruises.

“The on-board shop offers complete the immersive Italian cruise vacation experience for all our European guests,” he added.

Costa Firenze will cruise roundtrip from Dubai this coming 2021/22 winter cruise season to destinations in the Arabian Gulf such as Abu Dhabi and Muscat.

The 5,200-guest cruise ship features 13 restaurants, 7 bars, a full-scale waterpark on the top deck, a double-storey Broadway-style theatre, spa, casino and more.
