Costa updates Dubai 2021/22 itineraries for brand-new Costa Firenze

Costa Cruises has updated the itineraries for its brand-new cruise ship, Costa Firenze, on her 2021/22 cruises in the Arabian Gulf from Dubai.

Costa Firenze will cruise roundtrip from Dubai this coming 2021/22 winter cruise season to destinations in the Arabian Gulf, with a number of longer voyages in December now available.

Costa Firenze, designed to the Vista-class design of Costa’s parent company Carnival Corporation, is 135,000-gross tons and carriers more than 3,500 passengers.

She will be a floating city, with 13 restaurants, 7 bars, thousands of cabins designed to reflect the decor of Renaissance Italy and a whole host of amenities and attractions, from a full-scale waterpark on the top deck, to a double-storey Broadway-style theatre, spa, casino and more.

The ship is inspired by the Florentine Renaissance with an interior intended to evoke Florentine streets and town squares.

The central ‘Piazza della Signoria’ atrium for example, pays homage to the Florentine square, as do many of her dining options, such as the Fiorentina Steak House, which offers some of the best Tuscan meats, and the Frescobaldi wine experience.

Costa had previously indicated that Costa Firenze would homeport in Dubai, but at that time the cruise ship was scheduled to sail a number of identical 7-night itineraries from the city, visiting Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha.

While Costa Firenze will still sail these itineraries in January and February, 2022, in December, 2021 she’ll now also sail longer 10 and 11-night voyages roundtrip from Dubai, visiting Abu Dhabi, Doha in Qatar, Muscat in Oman and Bahrain.

On these cruises, the ship will stay overnight in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Muscat, giving passengers as much opportunity as possible to explore all that the ports have to offer. On her shorter 7-night cruises she’ll only stay overnight in Dubai (on the first and last night of the cruise).

The changes to Costa Firenze’s itineraries out of Dubai come as the cruise ship commences her maiden cruise season out of Savona, Italy, sailing week-long cruises to Italian ports, and other Mediterranean destinations from August onwards.

On all of her Dubai cruises, Costa Firenze will be offering passengers special shore excursions visiting the Expo 2020, the world expo being held in the city throughout 2021.
