Holland America Line is planning six new cruise departures for Zuiderdam and two new cruises on Koningsdam, offering a total of 40 cruises from San Diego from September, 2021 through April, 2022, sailing to Mexico, Hawaii and along the California coast.

“San Diego has always been an incredible homeport for our ships, and we are eager to restart on the West Coast with two ships operating an expanded season, including the debut of Koningsdam on these itineraries and close-to-home California cruises that our guests are going to love,” said Gus Antorcha, President, Holland America Line.

Four cruise ships will be deployed on Caribbean cruise itineraries from Port Everglades, starting with Nieuw Amsterdam on October 23rd, followed by the new Rotterdam on November 3rd, Eurodam on November 14th and Nieuw Statendam on November 21st.

The Caribbean cruises range in length from four to 14 days, span the entire region and include a call at Half Moon Cay.

“We’ve been anticipating announcing our plans for the Caribbean and we’re thrilled to have four ships in the region, including our new Rotterdam,” said Antorcha.

“Cruising is back and having vaccinated ships for these cruises in 2021 ensures that we can deliver the experience just how our guests remember and expect,” he added.

Holland America Line’s US cruises come after the cruise line announced it was resuming cruises for the first time, with Eurodam due to homeport in Athens from August, 2021.

Eurodam will be the first cruise ship Holland America Line has put back into service since March last year when the global cruise industry was forced to suspend operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eurodam will cruise in the Mediterranean until October 30th, when she’ll reposition to the US. Her Med cruise season was expanded earlier this months, with the ship taking over the previously scheduled itineraries for the smaller Westerdam.
