Resorts World Cruises, which is currently sailing its inaugural Arabian Gulf cruise season out of Dubai, has cancelled 20 scheduled itineraries to accommodate a last-minute decision to redeploy the ship to India.

The cruise line’s ship Resorts World One, is currently offering a series of 2 to 5-night roundtrip cruises from Dubai visiting a range of ports in the Arabian Gulf, including Abu Dhabi, Sir Bani Yas and Muscat.

The ship was meant to homeport in Dubai until mid-April, but will now reposition to India and sail a roundtrip season from Mumbai at the tail-end of the winter season.

As a result, Resorts World One will scrap the rest of her Dubai season from February 26^th onwards, resulting in 20 voyages being cancelled.

In a letter sent to passengers on January 22^nd, 2025, Resorts World Cruises offered its apologies to guests booked on the affected voyages.

“On behalf of Resorts World Cruises, we regret to inform you that the Resorts World One departures from Dubai will be cancelled from 26 February 2025 onwards,” the cruise line said.

“We understand your disappointment and would sincerely like to apologise for the inconvenience caused, as the cancellation is necessary due to a change in the operational schedule,” it added.

Resorts World One will maintain her January 29^th and February 5^th, 12^th, and 19^th departures to Doha; her January 24^thand 31^st and February 7^th, 14^th, and 21^st sailings to Sir Bani Yas; and her January 26^th and February 2^nd, 9^th, 16^th, and 23^rd itineraries to Khasab and Muscat.

Passengers have been offered a full refund of their cruise, including cabin fare, port charges, and paid shore excursions made to the original booking source. (Those who booked through a travel agency will need to contact the agency for refunds.)

The cruise line has also offered guests a free cruise credit matching their cancelled itinerary on any earlier date departing by or on February 23rd, 2025. The complimentary offering applies only to fares, and passengers will be responsible for port charges, gratuities, and shore excursions.

Resorts World One will homeport in Mumbai from March 5th to June 1st, 2025, offering three weekly roundtrip cruises to Lakshadweep, Agatti Island, and Goa from Mumbai. The cruise line has not commented on its decision to abruptly cancel its inaugural Dubai season.
