Queen Mary 2 will sail a classic World Voyage in 2022, with calls in Greece, Dubai, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Australia and Bali, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Italy and Portugal.
Sailings through the Suez Canal feature on both the outbound journey and return, the company announced, meaning the flagship of the fleet will cruise twice through the infamous Bad-al-Mandeb Strait, known in Arabic as the Gateway of Tears.

“Our guests have told us they want memorable destinations which combine intrinsic glamour and heritage,” said Cunard president, Simon Palethorpe.
“This unique program spans 16 countries, offering a combined 33 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which we hope will combine the perfect blend of exploration on shore and relaxation onboard,” he added.
The 118 night voyage sets sail from New York on January 3rd, 2022 and returns on May 1st, 2022.
The World Cruise will include overnight stops in Haifa, Dubai, Hong Kong, Sydney and Singapore, plus a late night departure from Colombo.
“This 118 night roundtrip New York voyage can be split into six segments and booked individually, which is tailored to those who want to fully immerse themselves in the Cunard experience for just a portion of the journey,” said Palethorpe.

Cunard Line’s Queen Mary 2 is a regular caller to Dubai, offering a Dubai cruise departure at least every two years as part of her longer annual World Cruise.
Cunard Line has cancelled all cruises across its fleet into 2021, and in October last year had announced that Queen Mary 2 will go into dry-dock for a refit and refurbishment in November this year.
It’s unclear whether the COVID-19 pandemic has altered those plans.
Queen Mary.2 was last in Dubai in January this year, sailing a 14-night cruise to Singapore as part of her world cruise, which was later cancelled early when the coronavirus pandemic emerged.
