Regent rolls out new themed cruise collection with limited space left on 2019 Dubai voyage

Regent Seven Seas says there is still some availability for its 2019 Spotlight on Public Broadcasting voyage, departing November 16, 2019, from Dubai to Singapore, as it rolls out new themed voyages for 2020.

The 20-night voyage from Dubai to Singapore aboard Seven Seas Voyager will feature guest speakers such as noted documentary filmmaker Robert Lee, producer Marcela Gaviria (“Frontline”), filmmaker Phil Bertelsen (“Madam Secretary”) and others.

The Dubai cruise is part of Regent Seven Seas’ Spotlight Collection, a whole new batch of which have been announced for 2020.

These select sailings will play host to such diverse topics as public broadcasting, journalism, film and television, wine, Broadway entertainment, gardening and floristry, and heritage.

Spotlight on Public Broadcasting

Departures focusing on journalism and public broadcasting include the May 4th, 2020, departure of Seven Seas Explorer from Lisbon to London (“Commemorating the World Wars”), Seven Seas Voyager’s August 4th, 2020, cruise from Rome to Monte Carlo (“The State of Journalism Around the World”); and the “Hooray for Hollywood” voyage on Seven Seas Mariner, departing roundtrip from Los Angeles on October 12th, 2020.

Speakers include PBS “NewsHour” anchor Judy Woodruff (August 4th, 2020), Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Lynn Novick (May 4th, 2020), and producer Michael Kantor (October 12th, 2020) among others.

Spotlight on Wine

Regent’s 2020 Spotlight Collection includes two wine-focused voyages, “The World of Harlan Estate” (June 4th, 2020, San Francisco to Vancouver on Seven Seas Mariner) and “Trinchero Family Estates,” departing August 14th, 2020, from Monte Carlo to Barcelona aboard Seven Seas Voyager.

The first features Amanda Harlan and Will Harlan of Harlan Family Domain, along with Phillip Norfleet, Director of Napa Valley Reserve.

Passengers can also elect to purchase an optional pre-cruise experience that includes access to the Harlan Family Estate and the five-star Meadowood Resort for an additional cost.

The second voyage features Barry Wiss, Vice President of Trinchero Family Estates, as the onboard guest lecturer.

Spotlight on Broadway

Seven Seas Voyager’s June 14th, 2020, roundtrip from Venice features SiriusXM radio host Seth Rudetsky, who spent more than two decades working on Broadway. It also features other artists, including Stephanie J. Block (“Wicked”) and Sebastian Arcelus (“House of Cards”).

Spotlight on Floristry and Garden

Seven Seas Voyager’s July 6th, 2020, sailing from Monte Carlo to Barcelona is for horticulturalists. Hosted by floral expert and artist Joseph Massie, cruisers can learn new floral artistry techniques in onboard master classes from the man who is widely regarded as one of the world’s top artists working with flora.

Spotlight on Heritage

Seven Seas Voyager will also cruise from Venice to Monte Carlo on June 24, 2020, on a special voyage with Ancestry ProGenealogists, providing passengers the opportunity to retrace their roots. Cruisers will also hear personal stories from the senior officers aboard Seven Seas Voyager, along with guest lecturers that include Kyle Betit, founder of Ancestry ProGenealogists.
