Azamara Quest has casino removed in refit ahead of Dubai and SA cruises

Azamara Club Cruises have removed the casino aboard Azamara Quest and replaced it with a popular new lounge concept that debuted aboard Azamara Pursuit ahead of Quest’s cruises from Dubai and South Africa in 2019 and 2020.

The cruise line, owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises, has put Azamara Quest into drydock in Singapore and will replace the ship’s casino with a new lively lounge called The Den featuring live music and a huge bar, reports Cruise Fever.

The Den was first added to Azamara Pursuit and received positive feedback from guests. It features comfortable seating, a piano and light live music in the evenings with guests served by a long bar that makes getting drinks easy.

And because this is a cruise line that’s all about destination immersion, The Den will also be home to a concierge desk staffed with destination-focused travel experts to help plan land excursions.

While the addition of The Den will be the biggest change made to the ship during the refurbishment, she will also receive six new Ocean View staterooms on deck four, port side, upping her passenger capacity to 702, while her ten top-grade suites will all receive new soft furnishings.

The gift shop will also be re-designed to provide guests with an immersive shopping experience, offering a variety of cosmetics, electronics, jewelry and perfumes, among other items, and the ship’s two specialty dining restaurants, Prime C and Aqualina, are now equipped with brand new furniture.

Azamara Quest will cruise in Asia and Alaska throughout the rest of 2019 until she departs Singapore on November 12^th for a 17-night voyage to Dubai. On November 29^th, 2019 she’ll sail an 11-night roundtrip Dubai cruise in the Arabian Gulf, before departing for Mumbai on an 11-night cruise that includes port calls in Doha, Abu Dhabi, Sir Bani Yas Island and Muscat.

On December 28^th, 2019, Azamara Quest will cruise a New Year voyage from Mumbai to Cape Town, where she will begin a South African cruise season sailing roundtrip out of The Mother City until the end of February.
