The refurbishment is part of a massive Celebrity Revolution enhancement plan that will see a further six Celebrity Cruises ships refurbishment between now and 2023, at a cost of US $500-million.
“Celebrity Summit is one of the most popular ships in the Celebrity Cruises fleet and we’re excited to share the revolutionized design with the world,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, President and CEO, Celebrity Cruises.
“Celebrity Summit is better than she’s ever been – with modernized spaces and exciting new experiences, and she’s the first of our ships to feature our partnerships with American Ballet Theatre and Chef Daniel Boulud,” she added.
The 31-day drydock at Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport saw everything from Celebrity Summit’s staterooms to her dining experiences and public rooms upscaled or redesigned.
Starting in her staterooms, they’ve been given a new design in partnership with HBA and Celebrity Edge cabin designer Kelly Hoppen. Celebrity’s eXhale bedding featuring luxurious Cashmere mattresses have been added, along with new finishes and fixtures in the ensuite bathrooms.
