Pullmantur says Dubai cruise season designed ‘down to the very last detail’

Pullmantur Cruises will debut in the Middle East in 2018, and Richard J. Vogel, President & CEO of Pullmantur Cruises, says that they have put a lot of time and effort into making the season as diverse and enjoyable as possible for guests.

Pullmantur are offering roundtrip Dubai cruise itineraries aboard Horizon visiting Abu Dhabi, Khasab, Muscat and Fujairah, with two nights in port in Dubai at the beginning of the cruise.

It is the first time that the Spanish cruise line is homeporting in the Arabian Gulf,

Pullmantur’s cruise ship Horizon will homeport in Dubai for the coming cruise season.

“The cruise itinerary has been designed down to the very last detail, to ensure passengers are fascinated by this oasis of contrasts, with the reassurance of knowing they will enjoy a fully Spanish environment. It has all the ingredients to be a big success,” said Vogel.

The 13 weeklong cruises will commence from December 8th, 2018 until March 3rd, 2019.

Pullmantur is looking to add hiking and mountain biking excursions at Arabian Gulf ports such as Khasab, Oman, on its maiden Middle East cruise season.

“We are not only coming out of our comfort area to start sailing in a geographical area for the first time in our history, but we are also enriching our offer to include a range of options for our guests,” Vogel adds.

The ‘Dubai and Legends of Arabia’ cruise itinerary will be part of Pullmantur’s ‘Exclusive Destinations Dreams,’ a sub-brand focusing on land and sea holidays, with the option of excursions and on-board themed activities related to the deployment region.

Pullmantur Cruises’ senior shore excursions manager Yolanda Pelayo said at the Seatrade Middle East Cruise Forum last year that passengers can expect themed Arabian Nights parties on-board, and that the line is actively trying to develop a series of biking and hiking shore excursions at ports such as Khasab and Fujairah.

Dhow tours are a popular shore excursion on the Musandam Peninsula.

At either end of Pullmantur’s first Middle East cruise season, guests also have the opportunity to book the re-positioning cruises that take in both the classical culture of Ancient Greece and the modern, cosmopolitan experience of the Arabian Gulf.

The 16-night cruise from Piraeus (Greece) to Dubai on November 22nd calls at Alexandria and Port Said (Egypt), Aqaba (Jordan), Salalah and Muscat (Oman) and Fujairah.

The homeward cruise at the end of the cruise season in March, 2019 will last 15 days and call at Khasab, Muscat, Salalah and Aqaba, finishing in Piraeus. It departs Dubai on March 9th, 2019.
