DP World expands cruise ports beyond Dubai Cruise Terminal with opening of Limassol

A new, modern cruise terminal designed to accommodate the largest cruise ships, is scheduled to open in the summer at DP World Limassol port, the Dubai-based company has announced.

The new terminal consists of seven buildings with an internal area of 7,000 square meters.

Along with 24-hour availability the terminal offers integrated services including Home Call and Day Call handling capability, ensuring an improved customer experience.

The new cruise terminal is DP World’s third. The port operator already runs the Dubai Cruise Terminal in Port Rashid and the cruise terminal at Quinquela Martin in Argentina.

DP world Limassol has a draft of up to 11 metres (tide free) and three 400 metre berths that can accommodate the largest cruise ships currently afloat.

The terminal offers fast turnaround times for connections to both Larnaca and Paphos international airports.

Limassol is a major destinations in the Mediterranean for the cruise industry as it is one of the first ports of call for cruise lines after transiting the Suez Canal.
