Norwegian Cruise Line opens two offices in India to support Mumbai cruises in 2016/17

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd has announced the opening of the company’s first two offices in India with a dedicated local team appointed to market the company’s three brands.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holding operates the contemporary freestyle cruising brand, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the upper-premium cruise line, Oceania Cruises (OCI) and the all-inclusive luxury line, Regent Seven Sea Cruises (RSSC).

The new India offices in New Delhi and Mumbai represent a major base of operations in support of the three brands and will provide key sales functions to serve travel agents across the region.

The opening of the two offices is the latest move by NCLH to establish itself in the Indian cruise market. The flagship brand, Norwegian Cruise Line, has already announced that it will homeport the cruise ship Norwegian Star in Mumbai during the winter season from November 2016 to March 2017.

“Cruise tourism in Asia is growing at double-digit rates; the demand is increasing from both cruise passengers from India and the rest of Asia, and international travellers are seeking to experience Asian destinations,” said Steve Odell, Senior Vice President and Managing Director Asia Pacific, NCLH.

“With the new offices, we will be able to better support our travel partners, forge new mutually-beneficially partnerships, and provide our valued Indian guests a range of enhanced services,” he added.
