Celebrity Reflection to gain 59 new staterooms in major 2027 refurbishment

Celebrity Reflection is expected to gain 59 additional staterooms during a major refurbishment scheduled for early 2027.

The new accommodation will increase the double-occupancy capacity of the 126,000-gross-tonne ship to nearly 3,150 passengers.

The additional cabins will be created by repurposing existing public spaces across several decks, including areas currently occupied by the Grand Foyer, spa and fitness centre, youth facilities, and other venues.

A large cruise ship named Celebrity Reflection docked in clear blue waters under a bright sky.

On Deck 5, parts of the Grand Foyer will be converted to accommodate 17 new outside staterooms. The changes will see the Passport Bar removed and the guest relations desk relocated elsewhere on the deck.

A further 16 staterooms will be introduced across Decks 11 and 12, with space created by reducing the footprint of the ship’s existing spa and fitness centre.

The largest concentration of new accommodation will be on Deck 15, where 26 staterooms are planned. The cabins will replace existing youth areas, the basketball court, and a video game arcade.

The changes form part of a wider refurbishment announced by Celebrity Cruises in July, with all ships in the cruise line’s Solstice class set to receive updates under the fleetwide programme.

Alongside the additional accommodation, Celebrity Reflection will receive changes to its dining and entertainment offering, including the introduction of 13 new venues.

Among these will be the Celebrity Pool Club, featuring two dedicated bars and new poolside dining options.

Four new entertainment spaces are also planned, including the 125-seat Boulevard Lounge, which will host games, karaoke, and live performances.

The Retreat, Celebrity Cruises’ suite-class area, will also be upgraded. Changes will include an enhanced sun deck with a larger hot tub and a redesigned lounge for suite passengers.

Elsewhere, the ship’s casino will be expanded into an area currently occupied by a shopping gallery.

The planned capacity increase continues a series of changes to Celebrity Cruises’ Solstice-class fleet.

Celebrity Eclipse received 10 additional staterooms during a routine drydock in early 2025, while Celebrity Solstice gained 54 additional staterooms as part of a wider modernisation earlier in 2026.

Built in 2012, Celebrity Reflection is the fifth and final ship in the Solstice class. Its early 2027 refurbishment will combine the capacity increase with the broader changes to passenger areas as Celebrity Cruises continues the class-wide enhancement programme.
