MSC World Asia to debut expanded luxury retail experience

MSC Cruises has unveiled an expanded onboard retail offering for MSC World Asia, introducing new luxury boutiques, family-focused shopping experiences, and exclusive brand partnerships ahead of the ship’s debut in December 2026.

The new flagship of the World class will feature an extensive shopping district spanning both the outdoor World Promenade and the indoor World Galleria, bringing together luxury fashion, jewellery, watches, fragrances, and exclusive MSC-branded merchandise in a single retail destination.

The expanded offering reflects MSC Cruises’ continued investment in enhancing onboard spending opportunities as part of the guest experience aboard its newest World Class ships.

Among the highlights is a multi-brand luxury watch boutique featuring timepieces from Breitling, Cartier, Chopard, Hublot, IWC, Panerai, and TAG Heuer, alongside a dedicated Rolex boutique showcasing the Swiss watchmaker’s collections.

Guests will also have access to premium jewellery boutiques featuring brands including Messika, Damiani, Maison Heavenly, and Swarovski, while luxury accessories and fashion boutiques will offer curated collections from leading international designers.

The fragrance selection includes premium brands such as Xerjoff, Parfums de Marly, Jo Malone London, Chanel, and Dior.

MSC Cruises said the ship will also introduce retail concepts aimed specifically at families for the first time.

Located within The Harbour, the ship’s outdoor activity area, and The Clubhouse family entertainment venue, will feature dedicated pop-up stores offering themed collectibles, branded merchandise, and souvenirs designed for younger guests and families.

Products will include games, clothing, tote bags, towels, and exclusive keepsakes inspired by the onboard experience.

The retail programme will also feature limited-time pop-up events and exclusive collections available only aboard MSC Cruises ships, giving guests access to products not sold ashore.

Beyond traditional shopping, guests will be able to create personalised souvenirs through Iris Galerie, which transforms photographs of an individual’s iris into bespoke artwork, while The Hub photography studio will provide professional photography services throughout each voyage.

MSC World Asia is scheduled to enter service on December 4th, 2026, operating seven-night Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona.

The itinerary includes calls at Marseille, Messina, Civitavecchia for Rome, Naples, and Valletta.

The ship is the third vessel in MSC Cruises’ World Class series and follows MSC World Europa and MSC World America.

While continuing the class’s overall design philosophy, MSC World Asia incorporates design features inspired by the cultures, landscapes, and artistic traditions of Asia.

The expanded retail offering follows a wider trend across the cruise industry, where onboard shopping has evolved beyond duty-free purchases to include luxury boutiques, exclusive collaborations, and destination-inspired products designed to enhance the overall guest experience.
