Silver Dawn
Silversea has opened its 2028/29 deployment with 278 voyages across 497 destinations, including its largest-ever Mediterranean expedition programme and an expanded Antarctica offering.
The new deployment, which opens for general sale on July 9th, 2026, includes more than 120 new or returning ports of call, alongside the cruise line’s largest-ever programme of Mediterranean expedition voyages, Silver Nova’s inaugural season in Northern Europe, and a 60-day Grand Mediterranean Voyage aboard Silver Dawn.
The collection covers departures between March 2028 and March 2029, with itineraries designed around seasonal events and cultural experiences, including Japan’s festival season, the Monaco Grand Prix, Scandinavian midsummer celebrations, and Europe’s autumn grape harvest.
The Mediterranean will see the line’s strongest presence, with five ships (Silver Ray, Silver Nova, Silver Dawn, Silver Spirit and Silver Shadow) deployed across the region.
A key addition is the expansion of expedition cruising in the Mediterranean aboard Silver Wind.
The programme will include itineraries through the Adriatic, the Greek Islands and North Africa, with calls at destinations including Milos, Amorgos, Folegandros, Pantelleria, Algiers, and Bejaia.
One itinerary will also feature a transit of the Guadalquivir River to Seville, an itinerary inaccessible to larger vessels.
Elsewhere in the expedition fleet, Silver Endeavour will introduce a new Baltic expedition programme covering Finland and Sweden, while the broader deployment includes voyages to the Arctic, Greenland, Antarctica, Polynesia, the British Isles, and the Galápagos.
Silversea is also expanding its Antarctica Fly Cruise programme for the 2028/29 season.
The revised experience begins with a stay at The Cormorant at 55 South in Puerto Williams, Chile, before guests board a private charter flight directly to King George Island, avoiding the Drake Passage.
The programme includes 41 Antarctic departures across Silver Cloud, Silver Endeavour, and Silver Wind, including sailings over Christmas and New Year.
The line’s cultural programming has also been expanded, with several itineraries timed to coincide with major events around the world.
Silver Ray will once again offer voyages during the Monaco Grand Prix, allowing guests to experience the race week from Monaco Harbour.
Silver Whisper will operate voyages during Japan’s festival season, with departures timed around events including Kyoto’s Gion Matsuri, the Nebuta Festival in Aomori, the Kochi Yosakoi Festival, and Tokushima’s Awa Odori celebrations.
In Northern Europe, sailings have been scheduled to coincide with Scandinavian midsummer festivals, while Silver Nova’s autumn itineraries along the Atlantic coasts of Spain, Portugal, and France will align with the grape harvest season and include destination-focused culinary experiences through Silversea’s Sea And Land Taste (S.A.L.T.) programme.
The season also marks Silver Nova’s first deployment in Northern Europe.
The ship will sail Norwegian fjord itineraries alongside Silver Spirit, calling at destinations including Geiranger and Flåm, as well as Baltic cruises featuring Sweden and Finland.
Silver Spirit will also make its maiden season in Canada and New England, with extended calls in Québec City, Halifax, and Boston.
Among the longest voyages in the programme is the 60-day Grand Mediterranean Voyage aboard Silver Dawn.
Departing on September 23rd, 2028, the sailing will visit 50 destinations across 13 countries, including Greece, Croatia, Italy, the Adriatic and the Iberian Peninsula.
The itinerary includes ports such as Istanbul, Dubrovnik and Amalfi, alongside smaller destinations including Menton, Naxos, and Roses. Guests will also take part in exclusive shoreside events, including a private evening on Athens’ Yiasemi Street, and a Papal-themed experience during an overnight call in Rome.
Silversea is also expanding its land programme, introducing new pre- and post-cruise extensions including a three-night experience centred on Finland’s sauna culture and another featuring a private island resort stay in the Seychelles for voyages departing from Mahé.
