Silversea unveils S.A.L.T. programme and new venues aboard refurbished Silver Spirit

Silversea has completed a refit and refurbishment of Silver Spirit, introducing the line’s S.A.L.T. culinary programme to the vessel for the first time alongside new dining concepts and updated public spaces.

The ship has now returned to service in Northern Europe following the revitalisation project, which focused on expanding culinary offerings, redesigning entertainment spaces, and introducing a new lifestyle-led pool deck experience.

Among the most significant additions is the introduction of Silversea’s S.A.L.T. programme — short for Sea and Land Taste — which centres on destination-driven culinary experiences linked to the regions visited during voyages.

New venues added to the ship include S.A.L.T. Kitchen, featuring menus inspired by destinations on the itinerary, S.A.L.T. Bar, serving regional spirits and cocktails, and S.A.L.T. Lab, where guests can participate in cooking classes focused on local cuisines and traditions.

“The completion of Silver Spirit’s revitalisation marks an important milestone for our fleet,” said Bert Hernandez, President, Silversea. “As the ship returns to service, we’re giving our guests a renewed onboard experience – one that blends relaxed sophistication, immersive dining, and destination-driven discovery.”

“From refreshed spaces to refined culinary experiences, every update was thoughtfully designed to elevate how our guests spend their time on board, as Silver Spirit embarks on immersive voyages through Northern Europe,” he said.

A major focus of the refurbishment was the introduction of Riviera, a redesigned poolside venue intended to function as an all-day outdoor social and dining space. The venue incorporates upgraded seating areas, sun loungers, daybeds, and expanded wellness and recreation facilities, including a golf putting green, golf simulator, and outdoor fitness offerings.

Dining at Riviera includes lighter casual options such as salads, wraps, seafood dishes, burgers, and plant-based meals, alongside an expanded beverage programme featuring Mediterranean-inspired cocktails, wines, Champagne, and low- and non-alcoholic options.

Elsewhere onboard, the Venetian Lounge has undergone a wider modernisation programme that includes new carpeting, reupholstered seating, updated drapery, and the installation of a new LED wall as part of a broader entertainment upgrade.

Following the refurbishment, Silver Spirit has embarked on a series of Northern Europe voyages operating through the summer season. The itineraries include cruises through Norway’s southern fjords, the Baltic, the British Isles, and Western Europe. Later this year, the vessel is also scheduled to operate Silversea’s Grand Voyage Mediterranean, a 50-day sailing departing Lisbon and visiting 40 destinations across 12 countries, including calls in Turkey, Croatia, Greece, Spain, and Italy.
