Royal Caribbean to debut America’s Got Talent live show aboard Legend of the Seas

Royal Caribbean International will introduce a live stage production based on the America’s Got Talent television franchise aboard its new ship Legend of the Seas, marking the first time the entertainment format will appear as a regular production at sea.

The show, titled America’s Got Talent LIVE on Legend of the Seas, is scheduled to debut in August 2026 when the vessel enters service.

Performers drawn from the global “Got Talent” franchise will appear in the production, which will feature a range of acts including magicians, musicians, acrobats, and aerial performers.

“At Royal Caribbean, we are constantly redefining live entertainment at every turn — bringing jaw-dropping performances to life across stage, air, water, and ice — and America’s Got Talent LIVE on Legend of the Seas is the perfect expression of that vision,” said Christine Coachman, Vice President Entertainment, Royal Caribbean.

“As one of the most acclaimed entertainment franchises on television, America’s Got Talent perfectly reflects our commitment to bold, world-class experiences that will truly wow our audiences on Legend,” Coachman added.

The show will take place in the ship’s Royal Theater and will feature performers associated with the broader “Got Talent” franchise, which has local versions broadcast in multiple countries.

The production represents the latest example of cruise operators incorporating well-known media brands into onboard entertainment programmes.

“We’re thrilled to bring Got Talent to an all-new at sea experience as we set sail for the first time with Royal Caribbean,” said Erica Gadecki, Executive Vice President Partnership Solutions, Fremantle.

“We can’t wait to showcase incredible acts from around the world on a brand-new stage onboard, creating an unforgettable experience for fans,” Gadecki added.

Legend of the Seas will be part of Royal Caribbean’s Icon class and will also feature several other entertainment venues designed for large-scale productions. These include the AquaTheater, which hosts diving and acrobatic performances, and Absolute Zero, an indoor ice arena described by the company as the largest of its kind at sea.

Additional stage productions on the ship will include an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, while live music venues and themed dining experiences are also planned as part of the ship’s onboard programme.

The ship will begin service in Europe during summer 2026, operating seven-night Western Mediterranean voyages departing from Barcelona and Rome (Civitavecchia). Later in the year, the vessel will reposition to the United States to begin Caribbean itineraries from Fort Lauderdale.

From November 2026, the ship is scheduled to operate six-night Western Caribbean and eight-night Southern Caribbean cruises. These voyages will include a visit to Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private destination in the Bahamas, along with ports such as Oranjestad in Aruba and Willemstad in Curaçao.
