Oceania Cruises has revealed the latest details of the accommodation design for its new ship Oceania Sonata, the first vessel in the company’s forthcoming Sonata Class.
Due to enter service in August 2027, Oceania Sonata will introduce a significantly expanded and reworked suite offering, with 33 per cent of all accommodation on board dedicated to suite categories.
The 86,000-gross-ton vessel, carrying 1,390 guests supported by 855 crew, will feature the largest proportion of suites ever offered across the Oceania Cruises fleet.
“We have listened closely to the desires of our guests and are delighted to unveil Oceania Sonata’s thoughtfully reimagined suite accommodations,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises. “Oceania Sonata is a triumph of spacious design and meticulous craftsmanship to deliver our unwavering commitment to extraordinary experiences and our unique brand of hospitality.”
The top stateroom category will include four Owner’s Suites, each exceeding 2,500 square feet in size, located at the aft corners of Decks 10 and 11. Each of these suites will feature two bedrooms, a configuration not previously offered by the line.
The master bedroom will include a king-size bed and a marble-finished bathroom, while the second bedroom will be fitted with a queen-size bed, a private bathroom, and direct access to the wraparound veranda through floor-to-ceiling glass doors.
Below these will be eight Vista Suites, ranging from more than 1,500 to more than 1,900 square feet, positioned at the aft of the ship. These suites will incorporate large verandas, expansive living and dining areas and bathrooms with double vanities, rainforest showers and porcelain soaking tubs.
The 16 reworked Oceania Suites, measuring between 1,000 and more than 1,400 square feet, will continue the line’s emphasis on separating living, dining, and sleeping areas while maintaining direct access to private teak verandas. Each suite will include a king-size bed and marble-clad bathroom.
A new accommodation category, the Horizon Suite, positioned between the existing Penthouse and Oceania Suite categories, will make its debut aboard Oceania Sonata. A total of 50 Horizon Suites will offer more than 600 square feet of space, with distinct living and sleeping areas, a walk-through wardrobe, and oversized veranda.
The remaining suite inventory will consist of 63 Penthouse Suites and 82 Penthouse Deluxe Suites, measuring 426 and 488 square feet respectively, offering large living areas, floor-to-ceiling glass doors, and private verandas.
Across all suite categories, Oceania Cruises has confirmed that guests will be assigned dedicated butlers, while guests staying in Owner’s, Vista, Oceania, and Horizon Suites will also receive in-suite illy coffee machines.
All accommodations will feature the line’s next-generation Tranquility Beds and Aquamar bath amenities.
Further details of the ship’s design will be released later this month, with inaugural season itineraries for Oceania Sonata scheduled to be released on January 21st, 2026, with bookings opening on January 28th, 2026.
