Silversea has announced a series of new onboard features that it says will broaden the activities available to guests across sports, culture, and wellness, while also introducing technologies not previously seen in the cruise sector.
The additions, which begin rolling out this month, include two offerings the company describes as firsts for the industry: an AI-powered strength training system and a portable golf simulator typically found on superyachts.
The company confirmed that the enhancements will be introduced in phases across its classic fleet, with new fitness equipment, expanded restaurant offerings, and additional entertainment scheduled over the coming months.

According to Silversea, the developments are based on changing expectations around wellness, leisure, and hands-on learning during travel.
“Our guests expect extraordinary, rarely available experiences, and we’re focused on delivering just that,” said Bert Hernandez, President, Silversea. “With these new onboard enhancements, we’re elevating our offering to further rival the world’s finest resorts and private clubs, all while giving our guests a unique look at the world.”
The fitness additions include amp, described as a precision-engineered strength device that uses artificial intelligence to adapt workouts to each user.
The equipment features five attachments and integrates with an app to guide training. It is now available in the fitness centre on Silver Spirit and will be introduced to the remainder of the classic fleet in 2026. Silversea said it is the first cruise brand to install the system.

A second new feature, SeaDrivePro from Off the Deck, will begin service aboard Silver Dawn in December. The company says it is the world’s first fully portable golf entertainment system, enabling passengers to play virtual versions of recognised courses with performance feedback and swing data, regardless of the ship’s location.
Visiting professionals will offer instruction, and the simulator will also be available during Silversea’s 2026 World Cruise, The Curious and the Sea.
The broader list of changes includes the introduction of pickleball courts and putting greens, starting with Silver Muse later in the year. The line is also expanding classes and workshops on sea days, adding activities such as painting, local music lessons, pizza and sushi preparation, cake decorating, artisanal bread-making, wine tastings, and mixology sessions.
Evening programmes are being widened to incorporate film screenings under the stars, silent discos, and themed gatherings. New lecture content on subjects such as longevity, exploration, history, and regional culture will involve additional speakers on a rotating basis.
Silversea confirmed that its food and beverage options will also evolve, with cafés and restaurants introducing fresh-pressed juices, wellness shots, and similar items.
The company states that these developments sit alongside its existing inclusions on board, which apply across all suite categories, such as multiple dining venues, 24-hour in-suite meals, beverages, gratuities, and standard Wi-Fi.
Expedition itineraries continue to incorporate shore excursions as standard. Silversea said the combined effect of its current and forthcoming additions will be to widen the scope of what guests can do during a voyage, with further rollouts planned across the fleet in the near future.
