Travelmarvel to launch Nile River ship Travelmarvel Sirius in September 2026

Travelmarvel, part of APT Travel Group, has announced the debut of Travelmarvel Sirius, a new river ship set to cruise the Nile from September 2026.

The vessel marks the company’s return to one of the world’s most storied waterways, offering a more personalised cruising experience, with a focus on comfort and cultural immersion.

Designed with just 62 cabins, Travelmarvel Sirius features inviting social spaces, a large pool, and interiors that reflect the heritage and history of the Nile.

Travelmarvel Sirius

“Considering our ambitions for the Travelmarvel brand, it’s only right that we offer an experience on one of the most historically significant and longest rivers in the world,” said Paul Melinis, Managing Director of APT Luxury and Travelmarvel for the UK and Europe.

The ship’s name takes inspiration from Egyptian history. Known as the brightest star in the night sky, Sirius was revered by the ancient Egyptians as the celestial sign of the Nile’s annual flooding.

“Just as the star it’s aptly named after, we are confident that the Sirius will be a trailblazer for setting the standards of Nile cruising, with Travelmarvel’s signature standards of service, personalisation and comfort at a competitive value,” Melinis added.

Pool Deck

Operating from Luxor, Travelmarvel Sirius will sail a full seven-day itinerary at a relaxed pace, calling at Dendera, Karnak, Esna, Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Aswan. The itinerary’s highlight will be a visit to the temples of Abu Simbel by private charter flight.

Onboard, guests will find amenities designed to blend modern comfort with Egyptian heritage. Cabins include Deluxe Cabins and the Pharaoh Suite, all with river views. The ship’s Sun Deck features a pool and poolside bar, while the Ramses Lounge will host entertainment reflecting regional culture.

Dining venues include the Nefertari Restaurant and Tutankhamun Terrace Café, serving both local and international cuisine, with 25 meals and select drinks included.

Stateroom

Cruise packages begin at US$4,500 per person, inclusive of return flights from Ireland, a guided tour of Cairo, visits to Karnak Temple and the Valley of the Kings and Queens, as well as transfers, port charges and tipping.

APT Travel Group said the launch of Travelmarvel Sirius represents a continuation of its commitment to developing immersive river cruise experiences across key global destinations, extending the Travelmarvel brand’s footprint to Egypt’s legendary Nile from 2026.
