Carnival Cruise Line announces new destination Celebration Key ready for guests

Carnival Cruise Line’s new destination, Celebration Key, will welcome its first guests on July 19th, 2025. The venue will be officially opened by Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy.

Celebration Key is part of the cruise line’s Paradise Collection, which also includes RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, and Isla Tropicale. Half Moon Cay and Isla Tropicale are set to receive upgrades in 2026.

Visitors will enter through the Celebration Key Sun Portal, a sun-shaped arch that leads to Paradise Plaza, where destination information and wayfinding signage assist with planning the day.

The Suncastle

The central structure, a 10-story Suncastle featuring five large conch shells, anchors the site’s five themed areas. Two water slides, each over 350 feet in length, wind through the Suncastle and end in a shared splash zone.

The destination includes Calypso and Starfish Lagoons—two connected freshwater lagoons spanning over 275,000 square feet. Calypso Lagoon is intended for adults, while Starfish Lagoon is designed for families.

Calypso Lagoon features an adults-only area with a central DJ platform and a swim-up bar with 166 in-water seats. A nearby bar and kitchen offers regional food and drinks.

Private rental options include Over-the-Lagoon Super Villas, which accommodate up to 10 guests. Each unit features shaded seating, locking cabinets, dining areas, stocked mini-fridges, fans, hammocks, swing chairs, loungers, and water access with loungers and slides.

There are four such villas—two at Calypso Lagoon and two at Starfish Lagoon—as well as four Beach Super Villas split between the adult and family beach areas.

Pearl Cove Beach Club, designated for guests aged 18 and over, includes an 11,000-square-foot private infinity pool, swim-up bar, shaded loungers, daybeds, a private beach, and a full-service restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Access to the club is available in three tiers: basic access with a welcome drink; access with a drink package (up to 10 drinks); and access with both drinks (up to 10) and meals.

In Starfish Lagoon, AquaBanas—floating cabanas with seating for eight under a canopy—are available for reservation. A shallow splash area called Guppy Grotto caters to toddlers and small children, with a coral reef theme and water play features.
