Costa Cruises has unveiled a renewed portfolio of itineraries for summer 2025, expanding its Sea & Land Destinations programme across the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
The concept, first introduced in 2024, aims to transform cruising into a fully immersive travel experience by combining exclusive sea-based moments with curated land excursions that cannot be replicated independently.
The updated offering includes an expanded selection of Sea Destinations — locations accessible only by ship and marked by slow-sailing or stationary experiences designed to heighten the connection between guests and the maritime environment.

These include sunrise concerts off the cliffs of the Calanques National Park, a jazz-infused morning approach to Capri, and sunset parties in Ibiza Bay.
Other events include stargazing at some of the darkest points in the Mediterranean and Baltic Seas, the Abyss Party over the Calypso Deep (the deepest point in the Mediterranean Sea), and a Wine Experience off the Ionian coast facing Mount Etna, which has been home to grape cultivation for more than 4,000 years.
New additions for 2025 include the Magaluf Jungle Party in Palma Bay and the Summer Carnival in Venice Lagoon. In Northern Europe, Costa is offering a Friluftsliv Meditation in the Norwegian Sea, drawing on Scandinavian nature philosophies, and slow-sailing past Geirangerfjord’s Seven Sisters waterfalls.
Complementing the onboard programming are upgraded land excursions under the Land Destinations banner.

These are divided into four categories:
- See it All: comprehensive city tours with guaranteed timely return to the ship.
- Icons: insider-led visits to historic landmarks with fast-track access.
- Fun for Family: educational and adventure-based activities for children and parents.
- Extraordinary: adrenaline-based experiences such as swimming with sharks or climbing coastal cliffs.
Costa Cruises says the programme reflects a new approach to cruise travel that centres the journey as much as the destination.
“Every moment is designed to amaze guests and lead them to discover places, on the sea as well as on land, where only Costa can take you,” the line said in a statement.
The Sea & Land Destinations concept is available across several ships in the Costa fleet, including Costa Toscana, Smeralda, Deliziosa, Fortuna, Fascinosa, Pacifica and Diadema, with specific experiences tied to individual itineraries and subject to weather or operational conditions.
