Cape Town cruise departure included in Oceania’s fleetwide 2025/26 sale

Oceania Cruises has included a Cape Town departure in its new 2025/26 Fleetwide Sale, offering up to 30% off more than 200 itineraries across its eight-ship fleet.

The Indian Ocean Opus, a 24-day voyage aboard Oceania Sirena, departs Cape Town on December 2ⁿᵈ, 2025, and sails to Singapore via a mix of Indian Ocean islands and Southeast Asian ports.

The itinerary includes calls in Richards Bay, South Africa; Maputo, Mozambique; Nosy Be, Madagascar; and several remote island destinations such as the Seychelles, Maldives, and Sri Lanka.

The voyage concludes with stops in Malaysia and Thailand before arriving in Singapore. Overnight stays in Mahé (Seychelles) and Colombo (Sri Lanka) offer extended time ashore.

This itinerary forms part of a broader trend of cruise lines rerouting voyages around the Cape of Good Hope due to ongoing security concerns in the Red Sea.

The increase in cruise traffic has bolstered Cape Town’s role as a strategic port, with the city experiencing significant growth in cruise ship calls and passenger numbers.

The enhanced cruise activity has also contributed positively to the local economy, supporting jobs and tourism-related businesses.
