Costa revamps Pizzeria Pummid’Oro aboard Costa Toscana ahead of Dubai season

Costa Cruises has introduced a revised menu and live entertainment programme at Pizzeria Pummid’Oro aboard Costa Toscana, ahead of the ship’s upcoming 2025/26 deployment to the Middle East.

The updated menu includes 15 pizza options available daily, ranging from traditional styles such as Margherita and Quattro Formaggi to more elaborate selections made with regional Italian ingredients, including buffalo mozzarella, mortadella, and San Marzano tomatoes. A rotating daily pizza special adds further variety.

Starters include prosciutto, marinated tomini cheese, bruschetta and eggplant roulades. Dessert options feature panna cotta with seasonal toppings, Nutella pizza, profiteroles, and a deconstructed tiramisù. A dedicated children’s menu offers smaller pizzas in playful shapes, soft drinks, and activity placemats.

The onboard experience has also been expanded with new live entertainment. On Costa Toscana, this includes an acrobatic pizza show, flair bartending demonstrations, and guest participation activities. A lighter version of the programme is also available on Costa Smeralda and Costa Diadema.

A refreshed selection of beers, including several new and exclusive options, is being rolled out across the fleet. It will be introduced on Costa Serena in November 2025 and fleetwide by May 2026.

Currently sailing in the Mediterranean, Costa Toscana will reposition to Dubai in the Middle East in December 2025.

The repositioning voyage will include a 17-night cruise departing Cape Town on December 3rd, 2025, and visiting destinations along the African coast and in the Gulf region, including Port Elizabeth, Port Louis, Mauritius, and Muscat in Oman.

Delivered in 2021, Costa Toscana is powered by LNG and carries more than 6,500 passengers at full capacity. She is the flagship of the Costa fleet and one of the largest ships ever to homeport in the Arabian Gulf.

The ship offers 16 dining venues, including multiple main restaurants, a sushi bar, teppanyaki grill, family restaurant, and the Archipelago fine dining venue, as well as Pizzeria Pummid’Oro.

Guests can choose from 19 bars and cafés, ranging from street food and ice cream counters to a Campari bar, Nutella café, and Ferrari champagne bar.

Health and wellness facilities include four pools, a splash park, spa, beauty salon, gym, sports court, and the Volare skywalk. Entertainment options span a casino, arcade, open-air cinema, event lounges, and a dedicated kids’ club.
