Cunard Line‘s newest cruise ship Queen Anne has departed Hamburg, Germany on her first World Cruise, with an 18-night Cape Town to Hamburg departure on offer as one of the legs.
The 112-night World Cruise departed January 7th from Hamburg, visiting 32 ports across 20 countries and returning to Hamburg on April 29th. The voyage is also bookable as a Southampton roundtrip of 107 nights.
Guests embarking from Hamburg were treated to a glamorous gala at the iconic Hotel Atlantic the evening before departure. The celebration included a champagne reception, dinner, and entertainment, setting the stage for the opulent adventure ahead.
The voyage, began with a classic Transatlantic Crossing. Highlights of the itinerary include overnight stays in Cape Town, New York City, San Francisco, Honolulu, Sydney, and Hong Kong, along with a passage through the Panama Canal.
The ship will call in destinations across the Americas, Australasia, Asia, Africa, and the Mediterranean, and while many guests are booked for the full 112-day journey, shorter segments are also available, allowing travelers to experience specific legs of the cruise.
One of these is Queen Anne’s April 11th depature from Cape Town, an 18-night grand voyage up the west coast of Africa, visiting Walvis Bay in Namibia, Dakar in Senegal and Tenerife in the Canary Islands, as well as Southampton in the UK.
Those wishing to disembark in Southampton can book the Cape Town leg as a 16-night voyage.
Queen Anne, which debuted last year, is the fourth ship in the company’s fleet and one of its most luxurious to date, offering a state-of-the-art spa, a dedicated fine dining venue curated by a Michelin-starred chef, an expanded suite category with private terraces, and an art collection showcasing over 4,000 pieces commissioned from international and emerging artists.
The ship features seven dining venues, 18 cafes and bars, two pool areas with seven whirlpools, and expansive gym and elevated wellness centre featuring one of the most advanced spas in the Cunard fleet, as well as the famous Royal Court theatre.
For those wishing to cruise to Cape Town, rather than from the city, Queen Anne also offers a 17-night Singapore to Cape Town departure on March 25th, visiting Malaysia and Mauritius, as well as Durban in South Africa.
