Resorts World Cruises has signed an agreement with Adnec Group for its subsidiary Tourism 365 to provide ground handling services during the cruise line’s upcoming debut cruise season in the Arabian Gulf.
Tourism 365 will provide a range of services to the cruise line’s vessel Resorts World One at Sir Bani Yas, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai (UAE), Muscat and Khasab (Oman) and Doha (Qatar) as part of her Arabian Gulf deployment.
Tourism 365 will provide logistics support and personalised services to ensure a smooth experience for cruise passengers at each port of call, according to Humaid Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of Adnec Group.
“We are excited to partner with Resorts World Cruises as they expand their operations into the Arabian Gulf,” he said. “Our mission is to deliver an enhanced passenger experience by offering bespoke services that meet the unique needs of the cruise industry. This partnership not only strengthens our regional presence, but also contributes to the development of tourism in the region.”
Michael Goh, President of Resorts World Cruises, said Tourism 365 was an ideal partner to the cruise line, which is planning to create a new footprint for itself in the rapidly growing Middle East cruise market.
“These are exciting times, as we expand our horizons to the Gulf in the region with the deployment of the Resorts World One to offer cruises from Dubai to exciting destinations like Sir Bani Yas, Doha, Khasab and Muscat,” he said. “With deep rooted Asian heritage and decades of affiliated experience, we know Asia best; and we have the expertise to deliver entertainment and cuisines that resonate well with different markets.”
Goh said these experiences would include certified Halal offerings, and entertainment and events that are sensitive to Muslim tastes and preferences, paired with authentic Asian and international cuisines and performances.
Resorts World One will homeport in Dubai from November 1st, 2024, to April 13th, 2025, offering a range of 2 and 3-night roundtrip cruises in the Arabian Gulf.
Resorts World Cruises will sail weekend cruises to Sir Bani Yas Island off Abu Dhabi, departing every Friday and returning Sunday, as well as 3-night cruises to Khasab and Muscat, departing Sunday and returning Wednesday, and 2-night cruises to Doha, departing every Wednesday and returning Friday.
Guests looking for longer roundtrip cruises from Dubai can combine two or all three itineraries into a full weeklong voyage, similar to those offered by MSC Cruises, Costa Cruises, AIDA Cruises and TUI, which also homeport in Dubai during the winter season.Resorts World Cruises is the first cruise line ever to homeport in Dubai and offer regular, short, weekend itineraries as an option for the local cruise market.
