Infinity Suite
Windstar Cruises has revealed new details about the first of its two upcoming newbuild cruise ships, Star Seeker, which is due for delivery in January, 2026.
Star Seeker is the first of two sister ships, with the second, Star Explorer, due for delivery in December, 2026.
The vessels join Windstar’s three-ship powered fleet, which is made up of vintage boutique ships that previously sailed for Seabourn. The cruise line also operates three sailing cruise ships.
All six vessels in the current fleet were built between 1986 and 1992, but have been extensively modernised and refurbished over the years to keep them up-to-date with newer vessels.
Star Seeker will be able to carry 224 guests in 112 suites, the majority of which feature a private veranda or floor-to-ceiling infinity windows.
The ship will also have five dining options, a spa, a fitness centre, and a Watersports Platform that allows guests direct access to the ocean, creating an infinity pool effect.
“Guests aboard Star Seeker will experience a sense of tranquility in their suites; they are designed to be an oasis for relaxation,” said Stijn Creupelandt, Vice President, Hotel Operations, Windstar Cruises.
“We used light wood and a soothing colour palette of light blues, greens, and natural browns – elements that reflect our Star Class style,” he added. “Inspired by the sea, sky, and landscapes, these colours and textures create a serene atmosphere perfect for a relaxing getaway.”
“In the ship’s public spaces and restaurants, you’ll find more vibrant hues inspired by sunrises and sunsets, including warm yellows, golds, and oranges, ensuring a harmonious blend of elegance and comfort throughout the ship,” said Creupelandt.
Star Seeker will debut a new suite category for Windstar Cruises with two Horizon Owner’s Suites located at the aft of the ship on Deck 7. Both suites can be combined with adjacent rooms for larger groups.
The Horizon Owner’s Suites will be one of 12 suite types, many of which will accommodate triple occupancy. Among these, 72 suites feature large verandas and 30 new infinity suites include floor-to-ceiling windows that open halfway for a fresh sea breeze.
The ship’s 10 Oceanview suites include walk-in mosaic glass showers and convertible queen beds, and all suites will be equipped with a fully stocked minibar, interactive TV, safe, and additional amenities.
The highest suite categories—Horizon, Star, Classic, and Deluxe—come with added perks like an Illy espresso machine, Canapes service and fresh flowers.
Star Seeker will be delivered and sail her maiden voyage in early January, 2026. The trans-Atlantic cruise from Malaga to Miami will be followed by a christening event in Miami, from which the ship will sail a short Caribbean season before moving to the US West Coast for a full season of Alaska cruises.
