Norwegian Cruise Line is offering savings of up to 30% on its upcoming African itineraries aboard Norwegian Dawn and Norwegian Sky during the 2024/25 cruise season.
Norwegian Cruise Line has two ships cruising in Africa during the coming 2024/25 cruise season, with Norwegian Dawn cruising roundtrip from Cape Town and Norwegian Sky offering cruises from Cape Town to Mauritius and Barcelona at the beginning and end of the season.
Cape Town, Nosy Be and Walvis Bay are just some of the destinations both cruise ships will visit during the season, which runs from November, 2024 to May, 2025. Norwegian Dawn will homeport in Cape Town from November, sailing cruises to Mauritius until March, 2025.
Norwegian Sky will cruise once from Cape Town to Mauritius in December, 2024, and then from Cape Town to Barcelona in May, 2025.
On Norwegian Sky, guests will discover a more intimate and traditional cruising experience. From onboard pools to the award-winning Mandara Spa, it’s the perfect spot for travellers to relax and rejuvenate after a day of shoreside enrichment.
There’s also a variety of speciality and complimentary dining options onboard, from Italian at La Cucina or French at Le Bistro. And with so many bars and lounges, including the Pinnacle Lounge & Sushi Bar or Sugarcane Mojito Bar, they’ll be hard pressed to go hungry.
Meanwhile, the mid-sized Norwegian Dawn offers a similar relaxed atmosphere paired with dining options such as Los Lobos Cantina, a sophisticated Mexican restaurant celebrating traditional flavours with a modern twist.
Guests can also visit The Cellars, a Michael Mondavi Family Wine Bar for a wine tasting, or take a spin in the ship’s expansive casino.
In Cape Town, guests can hop on a rotating cable car to the peak of the imposing Table Mountain to take in the views of the Mother City, or venture further inland to the winelands of the Garden Route. There’s also the infamous Table Mountain just offshore, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years.
In Walvis Bay, Namibia they’ll witness flocks of flamingos, pelicans and Damara terns skimming the tidal lagoon towards the east of the bay, where coastal sand dunes like Dune 7 mark the start of the Namib Desert.
In Madagascar’s Nosy Be, meanwhile, the Lokobe Reserve shelters chameleons, geckos and frogs, while the capital, known as Hell-Ville, features French colonial buildings and a covered market.
A 13-day South Africa & Madagascar cruise aboard Norwegian Dawn, from Cape Town to Port Louis via Mossel Bay, Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), Durban, Richards Bay, Nosy Be, Antsiranana and Pointe Des Galets, has departures in December, from £779p.
If guests book by 5th August 2024, they’ll get 35% off all cruises for a limited time.
