Cape Town departure among three new legs added to 2025 Fred Olsen World Cruise

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has added three new segments to its 106-night 2025 World Cruise aboard Bolette, including a 21-night ‘Scenic Vistas and Diverse Cultures of Africa’ cruise, departing Cape Town on April 1st.

Bolette will sail the World Cruise from Southampton on January 6th, visiting more than 30 destinations in Europe, Africa, South America, the South Pacific, Australia and Indian Ocean.

Also included among the three new shorter segments are a cruise from Southampton to Australia, and from Sydney to Cape Town, with pre- and post-cruise stays available on both. Guests can also opt to sail roundtrip from Liverpool.

“Our 2025 World Cruise has already proven popular, and there are some incredible opportunities to be had as Bolette sails to gems across the globe,” said Martin Lister, Head of Itinerary Product Development at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.

“These shorter sailings will enable even more of our guests to share these experiences, with every port offering an incredible insight into culture, history, art or the chance to seek out native wildlife such as the Magellanic Penguins in Chile, quokkas in Australia and the Big Five in South Africa,” he added.

“Guests will be able to make the most of their time with us, whether it’s to explore ports of call further with our immersive shore tours or to relax on board as our smaller-sized ship enjoys scenic sailings between destinations.”

The 21-night Cape Town to Southampton segment departs April 1st, 2025, and explores the vast landscapes of the Namib Desert, Senegalese folklore and tribal cultures and the remoteness of the subtropical island of Jamestown, St Helena.

Prices start from £3,399 per person, including flights from London Heathrow to Cape Town International. Cruise-only prices start from £2,699 per person.

Port calls on the itinerary include Cape Town, South Africa (overnight); Luderitz and Walvis Bay, Namibia; Jamestown, St Helena; Dakar, Senegal; Santa Cruz de la Palma, Spain; Funchal, Portugal; and Southampton, UK.
