Explora Journeys is launching a new entertainment programme aboard Explora I featuring a series of evening performances from international artists, interactive activities and exclusive events onboard.
The new programme, beginning on July 5th, will run for two weeks and will feature pop-up performances by the pool from musicians, performers and wellness teams, as well as daily activities such as Rituals, Daytime Sports, Interactive events and a new Murder Mystery game.
Evening choices will include main-stage performances, lobby bar sessions, late-night wellness events and more. A ‘Digital Activities’ feature will allow guests to use special QR codes throughout the ship to access daily events like Explora Journeys Trivia, Crosswords, Word Searches and more.
Guests can also can make musical requests directly to performers by scanning a QR code in the Astern Lounge during late-night gigs, while younger guests will benefit from a range of new activities and forms of entertainment in the ship’s Nautilus kids club.

Explora Journeys has welcomed new members to their leadership team with the additions of Ray Carr, Michael Langley and Keri Noble as entertainment managers. Passengers can expect one of these managers to lead the guest experience program on each journey this summer.
Explora I is the first vessel in the fleet for new luxury cruise brand Explora Journeys, a subsidiary of MSC Cruises, which is itself a subsidiary of the shipping and logistics giant MSC Group.
Explora Journeys offers a cruise experience comensurate with the MSC Yacht Club luxury enclave aboard the MSC Cruises fleet, and has five further ships on order with the Italian shipyard Fincantieri.
Explora I features an Owner’s Suite spread over 280sqm (3,014 sqft) with a living room, bedroom, ensuite and a 125sqm outdoor terrace, where guests will find an infinity whirlpool and a dining table for eight guests.
There are 18 bars and restaurants onboard, including a panoramic lounge at the top of the ship, and several pool areas, such as a weather-protected indoor pool, an aft ‘chill out’ pool at the stern of the ship, and a panoramic adults-only pool.The vessel’s six dining options feature a range of cuisines from Mediterranean and French to Asian, and because the Explora ships are some of the largest luxury vessels at sea, they also boast huge casinos, spas and world-class gym facilities.
