Celebrity Cruises reveals new experiences and features aboard Celebrity Ascent

Celebrity Cruises has revealed details about what passengers can expect aboard the cruise line’s newest Edge-class ship Celebrity Ascent, due to launch this November.

Celebrity Ascent will be the newest ship based in South Florida for the 2023/24 Caribbean season, cruising out of Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale from December 2023 to April 2024.

She’ll offer guests the signature experiences of the brand’s Edge class ships, including its outward facing design that maximizes views and outdoor areas, a robust food and beverage program with 30-plus choices from casual to fine dining, plus a breadth of accommodation options catering to solo guests, couples, families and multi-generational groups.

“I am so excited to introduce the world to Celebrity Ascent and continue the legacy of Celebrity’s Edge Series,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, President, Celebrity Cruises. “First launched in 2018, the Edge Series transformed what cruising could be and its ships like Edge, Apex and Beyond quickly became consumer favorites.

“Continuously striving to offer travelers a better way to enjoy travel and reach the world around them, we are so proud of what we have built and look forward to welcoming both seasoned and new cruisers alike,” she added.

Celebrity Ascent will bring back favoured Edge-class signature experiences, such as The Theatre, Rooftop Garden, Spa and sprawling Resort Deck, as well as the iconic Magic Carpet, and The Grand Plaza and Martini Bar with its interactive chandelier and Flair, Flash, Fusion bartender shows.

When it comes to food and beverage options, Celebrity Ascent will also offer new experiences such as aRedesigned Le Voyage by Daniel Boulud restaurant, a new plant-based tasting menu at Eden Restaurant, a new menu and animation sequence at Le Petit Chef, and an update to one of its four main dining rooms.

Cosmopolitan restaurant will be inspired by the culture of champagne, while Craft Social will offer new high-end bourbons and tasting seminars, and the Martini Bar will provide low-sugar cocktails and an expanded menu such as lychee and passion fruit martinis.

Entertainment, art and retail offerings have also been revamped aboard Celebrity Ascent with new production shows in The Theatre, a redesigned Casino and Art Gallery and a new Sunset Collection by Nate Berkus in the retail area.

On her Caribbean season out of Fort Lauderdale, Celebrity Ascent will visit some of the Caribbean’s most desired destinations like the Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Puerto Rico, and the British Virgin Islands.

In the summer, she’ll reposition to Europe, sailing Mediterranean cruises in Greece, Italy, Turkey, Spain and France.
