Explora Journeys reveal Owner’s Residence aboard upcoming Explora I

The upcoming luxury cruise line subsidiary of MSC Cruises, Explora Journeys, has revealed details about the Owner’s Residence aboard its first cruise ship Explora I, the first of six identical vessels being built for the line.

The Owner’s Residence will be the largest living space on board, featuring multiple spaces to relax and entertain with panoramic ocean views from a private outdoor terrace, which extends over the ship’s full width.

The suite will spread over 280sqm (3,014 sqft) and will feature a living room, bedroom, ensuite and a 125sqm outdoor terrace, where guests will find an infinity whirlpool and a dining table for eight guests.

In the bedroom there will be a bespoke king-sized bed sleep system, a telescope, fine bed linens from Frette, extensive pillow selection, and a Dyson SupersonicTM hairdryer.

Guests will also have access to a Technogym Bench and Technogym Case Kit, a private bar replenished according to their preferences, and an in-suite welcome bottle of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2013.

“Every aspect of the design of our Owner’s Residence reflects the meticulous curation of all details,” said Jason Gelineau, Head of Product at Explora Journeys. “We have partnered with renowned brands to provide an unparalleled experience for our guests.”

“Sofas and chairs are by iconic design brands like Knoll and Molteni & C, outdoor furniture is from Manutti, sophisticated lighting solutions are designed by Astep and the luxurious double vanity bathroom is made of precious Calacatta marble,” he added.

These details are intended to create an elegant, effortlessly relaxed European sense of luxury. Adding to that sense of luxury will be dedicated private butler services by the Residence Manager, such as unpacking and packing services, itinerary and transport planning, as well as private in-suite dining.

Guests staying in the Owner’s Residence will also have unlimited priority reservations for all culinary venues and a complimentary treatment at Ocean Wellness – The Spa.

Owner’s Residence Infinity Pool

Owner’s Residence perks will start before guests even board the ship, with Explora Journeys offering roundtrip home to airport ground transfers, a complimentary pre- or post-journey hotel night, and roundtrip transfers from/to hotel and port.

They will also have one private driver ashore subject to availability, and unlimited priority reservations for all culinary venues.

The Owner’s Residence on board Explora I is available for a maximum capacity of three adults or two adults and one child under 18 years old.
