Viking Ocean Cruises has taken delivery of its tenth ship, the 930-guest Viking Saturn, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Ancona, Italy.
Viking Saturn is identical to her sister ships, and is due to be followed by six more vessels of the same design, which are on order through 2028.
The series of luxury cruise ships started in 2015 with Viking Star, marking Viking’s expansion into the ocean-going cruise industry after having established itself as a leading river cruise company.

Explorers Lounge
Viking Saturn will debut in the Western Mediterranean in May and then head north, for a summer of cruising in the North Atlantic and Canada/New England, plus a focus on Iceland and Greenland.
Viking Ocean Cruises offers guests a luxurious and intimate experience with a focus on Scandinavian design and cultural experiences.
Viking Saturn, like the other ships in the fleet, features spacious staterooms with private verandas, king-size beds, luxury linens, and bathrooms with heated floors.
One thing that is different on each of the ocean vessels is the original onboard art collection. The pieces on Viking Saturn feature a mix of established and up-and-coming artists – most of them Norwegian including world-famous Edvard Munch – and a variety of media including digital, print, oil paintings, photography and sculpture.
Cabins on the all-veranda ship echo the Scandi-cool theme and range from 25m2 to the 134-m2 Owner’s Suite with a private sauna and a library, wine and music collection curated by Torstein Hagen, the founder and chairman of Viking Cruises.
