Seabourn reinstates Dubai to Singapore voyage for Encore in 2022

After being forced to cancel its 2021 Dubai itineraries due to the emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, Seabourn has confirmed that its annual Dubai to Singapore cruise is back on.

The 16-night voyage departs December 7th, 2022 and offers 8 ports of call, one of which will be at the beautiful private cruise beach on Sir Bani Yas Island off Abu Dhabi.

The cruise is also bookable as a longer 32-day itinerary that combines the Dubai departure with a roundtrip cruise from Singapore visiting Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

The 16-night Dubai to Singapore leg will visit Sir Bani Yas Island, Mumbai and Cochin in India, Pulau We in Indonesia, Phuket in Thailand, and Langkawi in Malaysia, before arriving in Singapore.

“A trove of exotic discoveries await, from Hindu cave temples filled with giant, elaborately carved sculptures to a renatured desert island teeming with cheetah, giraffe, and other Arabian fauna,” Seabourn says of the itinerary.

“Join a Thai cooking class, explore a tangle of tropical waterways lined with paddy fields and lush foliage, and even join a mid-cruise overland journey to witness the Taj Mahal at sunrise,” it adds.

Mumbai is known as the Gateway to India

Mumbai, the teeming economic hub of India and a major commercial port city with a fascinating colonial history will be a particular highlight of the cruise, and the ship will stay overnight in port so that passengers can take in all the city has to offer.

“Mumbai (formerly called Bombay) is a captivating city, known for its striking contrasts,” says Seabourn. “The fastest growing, most affluent and industrialised city in India, Mumbai represents the ever-changing face of today’s India: the old coupled with the dynamic new.”

The Taj Mahal is available as an overland program during the cruise

Mumbai is a kaleidoscopic mixture of intriguing people and incredible places, where within a block or two you can find modern skyscrapers, ornate Victorian buildings, and bustling bazaars. There are ten different shore excursion options here alone, as well as an overland program that takes passengers to the Taj Mahal.

The four-day option takes passengers away from the ship in Mumbai to explore India’s interior cities such as Jaipur, the Pink City, where they’ll stay at Rambagh Palace and explore City Palace, a dazzling showplace of Hindu and Mughal architecture, before visiting the Taj Mahal the following day at sunrise.

Seabourn Encore is a destination in her own right, with 5 restaurants and 5 cafes and bars, as well as four lounges, a casino, two pools, 6 whirlpools, a gym and spa, and more.
