Silversea Cruises has revealed the itinerary for its 2025 World Cruise aboard Silver Dawn, with one of the ten legs cruising from Mumbai to Istanbul via Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan in the Red Sea.
Silver Dawn will cruise to 59 destinations in 30 countries across four continents during the full length of the 136-day ‘Controtempo’ World Cruise, which will depart Tokyo for New York on January 13th, 2025.
According to Silversea, the cruise will have 33 overnight calls, seven exclusive events, three optional overland program, and 19 maiden calls.

“Controtempo, a musical term that means ‘off-tempo’, will take guests closer to the authentic heartbeat of iconic and off-the-beaten-path destinations,” explains Roberto Martinoli, President and CEO, Silversea Cruises.
“We will be travelling to an unusual rhythm, from East to West, with more time ashore in unconventional seasons,” he added.
Martinoli said that the 2025 World Cruise will mark the first time Silversea has used its larger ship for such an itinerary, which is a reflection of the increased demand the cruise line is seeing for longer voyages.

Silver Dawn carries 596 passengers and features 7 restaurants, 8 cafes and bars, and various lounges, such as the Venetian show lounge, Dolce Vita lounge , Panorama lounge , and Observation library. She also has a Casino, Fitness Center, Spa and expansive pool deck, and will debut Silversea’s new Otium enhancements.
The 2025 World Cruise will be available as a full 136-day voyage, but will also be bookable in ten distinct segments. The first will be a 15-day cruise from Tokyo to Hong Kong, departing January 13th, 2025, followed by a 12-day voyage from Hong Kong to Singapore, departing January 27th.
On February 7th, Silver Dawn will sail an 18-day leg from Singapore to Mumbai, and will then depart Mumbai on February 24th, bound for Istanbul, a 12-night voyage that features port calls in the Middle East and a transit of the Suez Canal via the Red Sea.
The full 136-day itinerary
Silver Dawn will stay overnight in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as well as Safaga in Egypt, the gateway to Luxor, but she will also call in Aqaba (for Petra) before cruising the Suez Canal into the Mediterranean.
On March 16th, Silver Dawn will depart Istanbul for Naples, a 10-day cruise that features an overnight in Istanbul and several major ports in the Greek Isles. She’ll then cruise from Naples to Lisbon in Portugal on March 25th, before sailing a 10-night cruise to Southampton.
From Southampton, Silver Dawn will sail a 19-day voyage into the heart of Norrthern Europe on April 12th, ending the cruise in Stockholm, from which she’ll sail a North Sea voyage of 14 days to Reykjavik in Iceland. The final leg of the World Cruise will be a 17-day voyage from Iceland to New York, departing May 13th, 2025, with calls in Greenland and Canada.
