Norwegian Cruise Line extends deals for Middle East passengers

Norwegian Cruise Line has extended its cruise deals for the Middle East market, with a Cyber Sale and Bogofree promotion that offers a second guest free or at up to 70% off.

The deals apply to sailings aboard Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Epic in the Mediterranean and Greek Isles respectively, during the summer 2022 season.

The Cyber Sale for the Middle East market sees Norwegian Cruise Line reducing fares for the second guest by 70%.

This deal applies to Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Epic on their itineraries in the Mediterranean and Greek Isles.

Norwegian Epic will homeport in Barcelona, Spain between April and September, 2022, and on any of her 7-night itineraries the first guest will pay (approximately) $1,116, while the second guest will pay only $334.

Similarly, between April and October, 2022, Norwegian Jade will homeport in Athens, sailing 7-night itineraries in the Greek Isles, and on any of these itineraries the first guest will pay (approximately) $1,252, while the second guest will pay only $357.

This deal applies to cruises booked before December 9th, 2021.

The Bogofree promotion is for the same ships, and the same itineraries, but runs for a little longer (until December 15th), and offers the second guest free, but the first guest cruise fare is slightly more at $2,405 for Norwegian Epic’s itineraries and $2,199 for Norwegian Jade.

The offers apply on Norwegian Jade’s Greek Isles cruises

The deals for the Middle East market are likely to be extended further as Norwegian Cruise Line seeks to grow its footprint in the region.

While MSC Cruises, Costa Cruises, AIDA Cruises, and TUI have long homeported in Dubai, Norwegian Cruise Line relies on selling fly-cruise deals to the Middle East source market, which has a long-standing preference for the Mediterranean as a cruise destination.

“Norwegian Epic [is] the number one ship for the GCC,” Nick Wilkinson, Regional VP of Business Development for the Middle East, Israel and Africa at NCL told Connecting Travel recently.

“I think it’s popular for a number of reasons, but primarily because NCL offers freedom and flexibility, and we find that Middle East guests – both expats and nationals – don’t want to be told what to do or where to go,” he added.

“Another thing that’s important to Middle East guests, particularly the Arabic segment of the market, is shopping, and we embark in Rome and Barcelona, which are incredible shopping locations,” he said.
