Middle East ports among 51 destinations on 2024 Princess World Cruise

Princess Cruises has released the itinerary for its 111-day World Cruise aboard Island Princess, with calls in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Salalah, Aqaba and a transit of the Suez Canal.

Princess Cruises will stay overnight in Dubai, and will depart late from Abu Dhabi, giving passengers more time to explore both cities.

Island Princess will be sailing her second World Cruise (the first, with a similar itinerary, is scheduled for 2023). She is the largest Princess ship to sail a World Cruise itinerary.

The cruise is now open for sale and will depart both Ft. Lauderdale (on January 4th) and Los Angeles (on January 18th) in 2024, with either itinerary serving as a roundtrip.

The 11-day voyage includes 51 ports of call in 27 countries and six continents, including Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, South America and North America.

Countries visited include the UAE, Oman, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Israel, Greece, Italy, Spain, Morocco, Canary Islands, Costa Rica and more.

Highlights of the World Cruise:

Island Princess will sail more than 33,000 nautical miles in 111 days.

She will visit 12 Maiden World Cruise ports including Galilee/Nazareth (Haifa), Bali (Benoa), Crete (Heraklion), Mykonos, Naples (for Capri & Pompeii), Florence/Pisa (Livorno), Genoa (Milan), Villefranche, Lisbon, Agadir, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Bermuda.

Shore excursions across the voyage feature 25 UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Petra in Aqaba, The Acropolis in Athens, The Port Fortress of Cartagena and the ancient Greek city of Ephesus in Turkey.

When in Dubai, the ship will stay overnight at the new Dubai Harbour Cruise Terminal in the heart of the city’s retail, entertainment and tourism area, and in Abu Dhabi she will depart at 9pm, giving passengers extra time for exploring.

Fares for Island Princess’ 2024 World Cruise start at US $21,079 per person, but there are early booking perks for those who book before January 31st, 2022.

These include a Premier Beverage Package with everything from cocktails, beer and wine to specialty coffees, smoothies and bottled water, unlimited Wi-Fi, a $500 cash back per passenger for spending onboard, and four options for specialty dining during the cruise.

Island Princess features more than 700 balconies, a Princess Luxury Bed in each stateroom, specialty and casual dining options across five venues, three pools, 11 bars, a theatre, show lounge, casino and more.
