Virgin Voyages has expanded Valiant Lady’s UK cruise season with three new pre-summer voyages setting sail from Portsmouth in 2022.
Between March 18th and May 14th, 2022, Valiant Lady will sail on a series of three new itineraries, including a mix of three-night, 11-night and 12-night voyages.
Valiant Lady will sail these new itineraries out of the UK in 2022 before she repositions to the Mediterranean to make her debut in Barcelona.
The new UK itineraries for Valiant Lady will see her cruise from the UK to European cities and islands, including late-night and overnight stays in Málaga, Palma de Mallorca, the Canary Islands, Lisbon and Belgium.
Valiant Lady’s new pre-summer voyages will go on sale on July 21st, 2021, and come on top of the UK cruises scheduled for Scarlet Lady during the summer 2021 cruise season.
Scarlet Lady will sail a series of 3 and 4-night roundtrip UK cruises out of Portsmouth from August, 2021. She was meant to then reposition to the US to homeport in Miami from September, but those plans have now been pushed back to October.
Scarlet Lady was meant to debut in Miami back in March, 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown the cruise industry globally the same month. Since then, the ship’s debut has been delayed six further times.
Valiant Lady has also faced several delays, the ship was meant to enter service in May this year in Europe, before repositioning to the US for Caribbean cruising from November. Instead, she will now cruise in the UK before homeporting in Barcelona.
Virgin Voyages is providing compensation to impacted guests with a 200% future voyage credit that will automatically be applied to the account. The credit can then be used to book a future sailing through 2022.
There is also the choice of a refund and a 25% future voyage credit that can be used for a future sailing. The refund request must be made by August 26th, 2021.
For guests who’ve been impacted multiple times will have their future voyage credit restored to use towards a future sailing through 2022.
