New lounges, restaurants and entertainment spaces revealed for MSC Seashore

MSC Seashore, the new Seaside-class cruise ship from MSC Cruises, will be 65% redesigned compared to her sister ships and will feature new lounges, restaurants and entertainment options.

The comments were made this week by Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of MSC Cruises, six months ahead of the delivery of the innovative new cruise ship, which will spend her maiden cruise season in the Mediterranean before repositioning to the US.

MSC Seashore will share the same exterior design as her sister ships, but 65% of her public spaces have been redesigned, while a new lounge has been introduced at the stern and a new specialty restaurant will debut, alongside re-imagined pool areas.

“With each new ship we build, MSC Cruises continues to innovate and push design boundaries. MSC Seashore represents an evolution of the Seaside class as an extended and further enriched ship,” said Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of MSC Cruises.

By redesigning the aft of the ship, MSC Cruises has been able to introduce a brand-new lounge, Cabaret Rouge, spanning two decks with panoramic views of the sea, offering new entertainment experiences.

The specialty restaurant experience has also been completely redesigned with the Chef’s Court introduced on deck 8, making this making this area the main strip for bars and restaurants.

This new positioning of the specialty restaurants allows for the restaurants to have an improved sea view and MSC Cruises’ signature steakhouse, Butcher’s Cut, will offer for the first-time outdoor seating and al fresco dining on the waterfront promenade.

Each of the pools have also been enhanced, including a double-deck extended magrodome pool up top and an Infinity pool at the stern above Cabaret Rouge.

“We continue to innovate not only in terms of our design and guest experience but also with our use of cutting-edge technology,” said Vago. “MSC Seashore will be the first cruise ship in the world to feature a new air sanitation system developed by Fincantieri.”

The ‘Safe Air’ system uses UV-C lamp technology to eliminate 99% of viruses and bacteria to guarantee clean and safe air for guests and crew.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to the environment and our journey towards total decarbonization, MSC Seashore will also be equipped with the latest-generation environmental technology with improvements to energy efficiency,” added Vago.

According to the cruise line, the systems aboard the ship to reduce air emissions, as well as an advanced waste water treatment system, feature purification standards that are higher than most wastewater treatment facilities ashore.

At 339 meters MSC Seashore will be the longest ship in the fleet and the largest ship ever to be built in Italy by Fincantieri. At 169,500-gross tons she will be a huge ship, but will not be as large as MSC’s Meraviglia-class (171,500-gross ton) or World-class (200,000-gross ton) mega ships.

Like MSC Seaside and MSC Seashore, she will feature the glass-floored Bridge of Sighs located at the unique vantage point on deck 16, curving out 72 feet above the Infinity Pool on deck 8.

Located on the coveted foredecks on the ships, spanning four decks and providing sweeping sea views, the MSC Yacht Club on MSC Seashore will become the largest and most luxurious in MSC Cruises’ fleet.
