Cunard Line to offer 2022 Cape Town departure aboard Queen Victoria as part of World Cruise

Cunard Line will offer a cruise from Cape Town to Southampton aboard Queen Victoria in 2022 as part of her 112-night World Cruise.

The 15-night voyage will depart Cape Town on April 14th and arrive in the UK on April 29th. It’s a comparatively port-lean itinerary compared to Cunard’s previous Cape Town to Southampton voyages, with just two ports of call in Walvis Bay, Namibia and Tenerife in the Canard Islands.

It can be booked as a full circumnavigation (with a daytime transit of the Panama Canal included) or potential guests can choose from 25 different itineraries. The full World Cruise as well as the Cape Town departure will go on sale on December 19th, 2019.

In all, through 2022, Cunard’s three ships (Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth) will visit 93 ports in 42 counties and offer 14 overnight stays.

The voyage will commence with the iconic of voyages like the transatlantic Crossing and itineraries the Eastern Caribbean, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Chile. Queen Mary 2 then retraces the route of famous explorers, rounding Cape Horn before returning to New York via Rio de Janeiro –in time for the famous Rio Carnival.

Queen Elizabeth, after cruising in Alaska from June to September, 2021, with voyages departing Vancouver offering stunning scenic cruising in the UNESCO world heritage site of Glacier Bay National Park and the waterways of the famous Inside Passage, will head to Australia.
