The first floating cabanas in the Bahamas are coming to Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at CocoCay as part of the new Coco Beach Club on the newly redeveloped private island.

The Coco Beach Club will open in January, 2020, and in addition to the beachside Go Cabanas and Infinity Pool, it will also feature floating Cabanas on the water.

Royal Caribbean has announced that the over the water cabanas will open on January 31, 2020 and are now available for reservations. The private cabanas come with complimentary concierge service.

The Go Cabanas will sit on the beach, offering sea views and dedicated personal attendants for passengers renting them. Each cabana will be able to accommodate up to eight people.

The Infinity Pool at Coco Beach Club

The infinity pool next to the Beach Club will offer in-water loungers and there’ll be a range of dining options poolside for those with an appetite.

The floating cabanas meanwhile will be similar in design to the beach cabanas, but will feature overwater hammocks, freshwater showers and private slides into the ocean, bringing a touch of Maldives luxury to Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Perfect Day at CocoCay is Royal Caribbean’s newly redeveloped private island in the Caribbean. It’s home to the tallest waterslide in North America within the Thrill Waterpark, as well as 12 other slides, a huge wave pool and a family-friendly obstacle course.

The island also offers Up, Up and Away, a helium balloon tethered to the ground that lifts a viewing platform high above the island for incredible views, Oasis Lagoon, the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean, several restaurants and the kid’s waterpark Splashaway Bay.

The Zipline at Perfect Day at CocoCay

There’s even a zipline that covers almost the full width of the island.

Surrounding the island are pristine, white sand beaches with crystal-clear tropical water, so guests of all ages can create their perfect beach day whether that be beach sports, snorkeling, sunbathing and swimming or sipping a cocktail in a cabana.

The island was redeveloped at a cost of US $250-million and is the first of at least five being planned by Royal Caribbean in various parts of the world.
