MSC Cruises is introducing the most Dubai cruise cabin ever aboard MSC Bellissima, which will homeport in the Arabian Gulf this coming November.
Stateroom 16018 will be located in the exclusive MSC Yacht Club and will feature more than 700,000 crystals, worth in excess of AED1-million. It’s sure to be popular in the Dubai market, which already features the world’s most expensive shore excursion.
The introduction of the Swarovski Crystal Stateroom builds on the long-time partnership between MSC and Swarovski. The Swarovski Crystal staircases in the atrium’s of MSC’s ships have become one of the line’s most defining features.

Passengers never miss an opportunity to pose on the glittering staircases for Instagram, and the same will likely be true of the new stateroom for those that can afford to stay in it.
MSC Cruises’ Executive Chairman Pierfrancesco Vago described the collaboration as a “symbol of sophistication on board MSC Cruises ships”.
“Every element has been carefully chosen to add elegant touches and complement the design with 700,000 crystals used to embellish the space,” MSC said in a press release.

This includes crystallized furniture, such as the bedside tables, sideboard and coffee table.
The new stateroom will be installed aboard MSC Bellissima in mid-November, just before she repositions to Dubai for the winter cruise season.
Bellissima will cruise roundtrip from Dubai on 7-night itineraries in the Arabian Gulf from November until March, 2020, when she will reposition to China.
Like other ships in the fleet, MSC Bellissima will also boast Swarovski staircases in her atrium.

More than 61,000 crystals will be embedded in 96 steps, and there will also be crystal detailed wallpaper in the MSC Yacht Club and a crystallized Active Panel illuminated by custom LED with 500,000 crystals per sqm built into the design of the Champagne Bar on Deck 7.
MSC Bellissima is the newest, largest and most advanced cruise ship that has ever homeported in Dubai. She will single-handedly add more than 76,000 cruise tourists to Dubai’s busiest cruise season on record, during which more than 800,000 passengers aboard eight cruise ships will visit the city.

MSC Bellissima’s industry-first features, such as the Swarovski Crystal Stateroom, Cirque du Soleil at sea, indoor promenades offering dozens of dining and retail options, and attractions such as a Grand Canyon-themed water park, are intended to set her apart in the competitive Dubai market.
“From the 12 unique dining venues to the two new Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows, Syma and Varélia, guests are demanding choice and variety and we are building ships to accommodate these demands,” says Antonio Paradiso, Managing Director for the UK & Ireland, MSC Cruises.
