Pullmantur introduces new all-inclusive sports program ahead of Dubai season

Spanish cruise line Pullmantur Cruises has introduced a new all-inclusive sports program offering a wider range of activities for different athletics levels across its four-ship fleet.

The new program will go into effect this year ahead of Pullmantur’s new Dubai cruise season aboard Horizon, with the ship homeporting in Dubai and cruising roundtrip in the Arabian Gulf between December, 2019 and March, 2020.

According to Richard J. Vogel, President & CEO of Pullmantur Cruises, the new sports program comes as more people today follow a healthy lifestyle and include sports as part of their daily routines.

“Thus, we have this new program, which can be personalised and adapted to each of our passengers, allowing them to continue their usual activities even during their holidays onboard,” he said.

“For some passengers this may also be an initiation into sporting activities they can continue when they go home,” he added.

The cruise line will be offering toning classes and water aerobics to cardio workouts and exercises for both the body and the mind.

Outside deck space has been dedicate to sports, including running, yoga and meditation.

Vogel added that many of the activities are ideal for passengers who want to try out something new or spend more time with their travel companions.

There are tailor-made sessions for couples, and for families, with yoga classes that younger people can also participate in, and zumba and other activities for groups.

The program is led by professional sport instructors who will advise and guide passengers, recommending activities that best suit their profile, according to Pullmantur.

In addition to this all-inclusive offer, personal trainers are available to those who want more personal treatment and there are also small-group sessions.

During her upcoming 2019/2020 cruise season out of Dubai, Horizon will operate 7-night Dubai & Legends of Arabia cruises, visiting Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Khorfakan and Khasab.

It will be Horizon’s second cruise season out of Dubai, following her inaugural visit to the Arabian Gulf this year between November, 2018 and March, 2019.

The 1990-built cruise ship carries 1,800 passengers. She’s the smallest ship in the Pullmantur fleet, but has several bars and lounges, a variety of dining options and even a Broadway-style theatre for evening production shows.
