Viking Ocean Cruises 2020-21 World Cruise to visit Middle East aboard Viking Sun

Viking Sun will cruise via Muscat, Oman on her 2020-21 World Cruise, a 161-day voyage that visits 75 ports on six continents, staying overnight in 13 of them.

While most cruise lines divide their world cruises into several shorter segments, often using Dubai as a turnaround port, Viking Cruises have instead offered Viking Sun’s World Cruise as a 161-day or 140-day voyage.

The longer itinerary sails from Miami on December 14^th, 2020 and arrives in London on May 22^nd, 2021. The shorter Los Angeles to London itinerary departs LA on January 4^th, 2021.

After departing Miami, Viking Sun will explore islands of the Caribbean and the South Pacific; and then move to Asia, from Hong Kong to Bangkok; explore countries of the Middle East, including Oman, Jordan, Egypt and Israel; and sail through the Mediterranean before concluding in London.

Viking Sun will visit six new ports of call for Viking on this World Cruise, including Honolulu and Nawiliwili, marking the cruise line’s inaugural visit to the Hawaiian Islands. Other new ports include Oahu, Kauai, Moorea, and Hue.

Destination highlights are expected to be Sydney, Mumbai and Istanbul. In each of these ports Viking Sun will stay overnight, giving guests two days in the city. In Mumbai, Hong Kong and Auckland, she’ll spend a full two nights and three days in port.

Other night port calls on the World Cruise include Hobart, Tasmania; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Bangkok, Thailand; Singapore; Colombo, Sri Lanka; Venice, Italy; Barcelona, Spain and London.

Pricing for the 161-day 2020-2021 Viking World Cruise starts at US $59,995 per person and the 140-day 2021 Viking World Discoveries starts at US $52,995 per person, based on double-occupancy.
