Azamara Club Cruises rolls out full South African cruise season for 2020/21

Boutique cruise line Azamara Club Cruises has announced it will sail a full South African cruise season between December, 2020 and March, 2021, out of Cape Town aboard Azamara Journey.

The decision comes following strong interest and better-than-expected bookings for its first-ever mini-cruise season, scheduled for South Africa in the 2019/2020 cruise season.

Azamara Journey will cruise roundtrip from Cape Town eight times between December 2nd, 2020 and March 7th, 2021.

These cruises will range in length from 10, 12 and 15 nights.

The 10-night cruises are South African-intensive, with port calls in Port Elizabeth, Richard’s Bay, Durban, and East London, with an overnight stay in Cape Town.

The 12-night cruises visit the same South African ports, but with the addition of Maputo in Mozambique.

The 15-night cruises from Cape Town will also visit the same South African ports, but instead of Maputo, the ship will visit Walvis Bay in Namibia instead.

These cruises were announced along with an extensive array of 2021 itineraries for Azamara Club Cruises across four continents between January and March 2021.

There are new country-intensive voyages in Japan, the introduction of Azamara Pursuit to Australia and New Zealand and additional experiences in South America.

In Japan, Azamara Club Cruises will offer 15 and 16-night itineraries with visits to up to 13 ports across the country, including Tokyo, Aomari, Hakodate and Kobe.

Starting in 2019, the company will introduce a range of immersive excursions that showcase the local culture of the country’s various regions and these will continue in the 2021 itineraries.

Azamara Pursuit will make her debut in Australia and New Zealand in 2021, visiting a total of 18 ports, including Sydney and Melbourne in Australia and Auckland, Napier and Akaroa in New Zealand.

Azamara will also launch new ways to experience South America with a Rio Carnival voyage aboard Azamara Quest.

Azamara Club Cruises is a boutique cruise line that provides travel to all seven continents. The company uses local land programs and late and overnight stays to provide immersive cultural experiences.
