Sea Princess cruise ship to return to Dubai in 2019 as part of World Cruise

Princess Cruises has announced that its cruise ship Sea Princess will be cruising from Dubai once more during the 2019 Middle East cruise season.

Sea Princess will visit Dubai and feature the city as a turnaround port during one of the legs of its 2019 World Cruise, the 12th World Cruise to be operated by Princess Cruises from Sydney.

The ship will depart May 14th, 2019, sailing 34,000 nautical miles (62,968kms) through the Indian Ocean, Mediterranean, Baltic Sea, Atlantic Ocean, Panama Canal and the Pacific Ocean.

The 106-day voyage will include port calls at 39 destinations across 32 countries, including maiden calls at Puntarenas in Costa Rica, Salaverry in Peru and Portland in the UK where passengers will have the opportunity to take a shore excursion to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Stonehenge.

Sea Princess will stay overnight at Dubai Cruise Terminal, where she will disembark and take on new passengers for the homeward leg of her 2019 World Cruise.

The World Cruise will also include three overnight port calls, of which Dubai is one.

“For world cruise 2019 we’re inviting guests to make the most of each port destination with three overnight stays in Dubai, St Petersburg  and New York,” a Princess spokesperson said.

Fares for the 2019 round voyage from Sydney will go on sale November 9 and will cost from US $17600 (AED65,000) per person sharing a stateroom.

The Dubai cruise leg of the World Cruise is likely to be ten days to two weeks in length and will be much cheaper, starting at around US $2,500 per person sharing, Princess Cruises will release further details in the coming weeks.
